In my 25 plus years in the Indoor Air Quality Business, I am shocked at all the lacking information that exist when it comes to treating Asthma. The medical field wants to load your childen up on meds.

In some cases this may be necessary. I am more into the detective route. Rather than treat the symptoms, I am into finding out the cause and remove it.

How many homes have mold? How many bedrooms are loaded with stuffed animals? How many homes have scented candles or use air fresheners? How many children are using old pillows? In how many homes do parents smoke or they have pets, especially birds or cats?

How many people store laundry detergent, fabric sheets or fabric softeners in their home? These are just some of the things that can cause an Asthma attack.

Do your children get worse when they start school? Buy the book, Is This Your Childs World, by Dr. Doris Rapp. Great reading and it's over 600 pages. Also order the video. Many schools cause Asthma and won't do anything about it.

Here is some good information about cats. Bring a cat into your home for just 20 minutes then get rid of the cat. Question! How long will it's dander float in the air?

If you said 2 years, you would be correct. How old is your childs pillow? A pillow that's 4 years old has one tenth of its weight made up of dust mites, their body parts and their droppings!

Where do you store your laundry products? If they are close to an air return, all thise VOC'S will be sucked into your a/c system and dispursed throughout your entire house. These checicals are toxic and play havoc on children with Asthma.

HEPA filters will not work as good as you need them to. The smalles particulate they will remove from the air is .3 microns. This is very small but,97% of the stuff that's in the air in your home that gets deep down in your childs lungs are smaller than .3 microns.

HEPA filters are the best filter out there but the biggest flaw is that it is a filter. Air has to pass through it for it to work.

What does the HEPA dofor chemical gasses or mold thats on the wall? How big of an area does it cover. What happens to all that microscopic stuff that on the filter every time to pull it out of the filter to change it?

Final thought: Filters don't work. Air cleaners don't work! Air Purifiers don't work. You may notice a change but it's not whats needed.

Astha is up over 600% in the last 25 years. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over the same way and expecting different results. They will always be the same.

There is an Air Sanifier on the market that uses NASA based technology. There is nobody else out there with this technology and it works when it comes to correcting all the problems we just talked about.

I don't know about us being allowed to mention a certain product on this site but if you e mail me or post your question, I would be glad to get back to you.
