I have always been a Martha Stewart liquid glue girl (the one that looks like ZIG... the blue one) I have been going through albums recently, and in the older books, pictures are falling to the bottom of the page.... are tape runners better? what brand is better? I have a crop this weekend and want to get one beforehand, but don't want to sit and fight with it half the day...
Any suggestions?????
TIA! |

My two are the Creative Memories and the ATG (advanced tape glider). I can't imagine pictures falling off using either of those. I've used CM tape for over 13 years with nothing coming off. The ATG is newer, but when you use it, it STICKS! |

I think 2-way glues aren't all they're cracked up to be.
I prefer to use regular liquid glue like Scotch (except it's getting so pricey I'll be trying another brand soon when my bottle is empty.)
I use photo tabs on my pictures. However, I found the Scotch brand ones don't stick as well especially on papers that don't have a dull finish like the DCWV cardstock. |

I use double sided Scotch tape. It is really sticky but eit is almost impossible to reposition. I buy it at Sam's Club in a six pack that is around $12. I am actually thinking of getting an ATG, which is also a Scotch product.

I also use the ATG but just recently purchased the AC This or That. It should come in the mail today and I am excited to use it. I love my ATG gun but it is so bulky on my workspace. It definitely sticks though!

ATG seems to have a huge following, but I buy the dot runner from target. They have them there and at the scrapbook stores. I don't know if it is 3M or Scotch. |

I use the Creative Memories one, Glue Glider Pro and ATG. I use the Creative Memories one most frequently. I have never had a problem with any of these.

A few years ago, I broke down and bought an ATG. Should have done so much, much sooner!

Sounds like ATG is a popular one. Now to see if I can find it at the local craft stores like J's, M's or AC...
Thanks Again! |

I was just reading that the ATG tape is not acid free though... it says that you have to use the GOLD refills... anyone else know anything about this? |

Another vote for ATG, I've been using one for about 4 or 5 years, nothings falling off. |

I use my ATG at home but when I go to crops I use AC This to That Dot Runner that looks like this:
It's the best small adhesive runner I've ever used. I really like it |

I buy my ATG refills at the big box stores when they are on sale. You just have to get the box that says it is acid free. They are more expensive but they are just as sticky in my experience. Love my ATG!

I use the My Stik tape runners. They come in three varieties - permanent (red), repositionable (green) and vellum adhesive (purple). I use the repositionable type. I like the fact that the handle is adjustable and that you can buy refills at a cheaper price than the full, new roller. 2Peas doesn't carry this particular brand, however, but you might find it in some local craft shops.

I use tombow dot adhesive. So far all my things have stayed put. ATG is very strong tape, so if you like to go back and remove some items, it is not the best tape for you. Plus it's huge. I use ATG when I want to cover a mini book.

I LOVE the ATG. Keep trying out smaller runners for the convenience of size and handling but keep going back to ATG because I love the hold. |

I was finally getting used to my pink atg (south paw) and the darn tape broke mid way thru project..so i've been using my stik runners since I had them on hand. I'm a little frustrated with the atg...there is at least 3/4 roll of tape on it....can it be saved? As in rethreaded? I haven't messed with it yet, but would hate to lose that much tape

I use my ATG when I am sure of the placement of something. My AC dots is my go to because I'm constantly moving and fixing things.

Yes you can fix the ATG I seem to be able to break mine on a regular basis. Just take off the used part and wrap a new end through the groves and then rethread like normal. I seem to have to do this at least once for each roll.
