I have this little owl stamp. He is very cute. But I've never been able to fit him into a LO. He just doesn't fit!!! Butterfly's seem to fit, but not my little owl..... Has anyone else had this problem? GG mentioned that Whales might be the new owl, and I'm looking forward to seeing how she fits a whale on a LO. But I want to use my little owl. Can anyone help me use my little owl?

I use mine with a play on words. For instance: Whooooooo is turning 50? was a title I made with an owl stamp at the front.

Had a HOOT of a time! was a title I used with the owl as the two Os in hoot on a birthday page.

I'd stamp it on cardstock, cut it out, and use it in an embellishment cluster the same way you'd use a butterfly or other type of animal. I love owls, but I haven't bought any owl scrapbooking supplies yet!

Do you also make cards? Sometimes it's easier to make a card sentiment.

Do you use Pinterest? Maybe search for owl sayings there.

Owls are quite popular, not just in scrapbooking right now. Etsy has tons.

I have a few owl use for cards. Whoooo misses you? Whooo loves you? etc

Here are some owl things in the gallery!

I am for the stamp it and cut it out OR just stamp it on the page close to a cluster.

We have many owls in our house, not just for scrapbooking. It is easy for me to incorporate the owl theme in my pages, because my dd7 has been obsessed with owls for 3 years. She loves her layouts to have owls on them!

I use them on school pages. He can sit on the edge of anything. Owls are harder than butterflies because usually they are not in can also use the in out door pages (camping, hiking, etc)

Yes, school pages "Whoooos so wise?" I would also use them for fun even if it wasn't directly related to page (like others said in a cluster).

It doesn't have to be theme-y. Just pop it into an embellishment cluster as others have said. Think of it as a flower . I used my AT elephant stamp that way and I think it worked great and the page has nothing to do with elephants.

I love owl stamps on school or "reading" layouts. For a time I wanted to collect owl stamps. Depending on the particular owl stamp, it's fun to stamp over book text paper, then cut out, mat and adhere to your page. Here's an example in my gallery...

I like to use owls on love themed pages or on fall LOs.

I use them on school pages, outdoors type pages and more. My youngest DD loves owls so I can always find a way to work them into a layout!

you could also use them as a way to create your own Journal or Title cards, as just part of the pattern, does that make sense? I love owls they're cute, although I have to admit that I just hoard them....

Thanks for all the ideas. I'm going to try some this weekend. When you say book paper.... you mean a page out of a book? I can see that really loking good. Great ideas. Thanks so much.

Two more - you can use it on plain cardstock to make a background (DIY patterned paper) or stamp a row of owls either directly on your page or on another strip of paper to use as a border.

If you make something link it up so we can see how you decided to use it!
