Hi Jamie,
This week it has been noted that some Peas are receiving hundreds or even thousands of loyalty points for regular participation in the board. Some Peas have earned thousands of points for uploading layouts, and some do not know why they have earned these points.
And there are Peas like me, who despite participating regularly in the board and gallery, have not received any points at all, all week long.
Do you know why this discrepancy in earning points is occurring?
Is this a glitch that hasn't been ironed out of the new system yet?
Is this a top-secret special opportunity being awarded to some members and not others?
Has 2Peas read the handful of threads over the past two days about this, or are you unaware of the variability?

Dear 2Peas, I am so very disappointed.
I understand that times are tough financially and you had to make a decision that was best for you and your business. I truly understand, and I think most or all of my fellow Peas understand, because I think times are tough financially for a lot of us, too!
However, I do find your lack of response on the message board threads over the past week to address the point problem to be disappointing. To read your explanation in the middle of the night, AFTER everyone's points were drastically reduced felt like an afterthought. I know you are busy, and perhaps were unaware of the problem until very recently. But, if someone had been able to step up and let us all know there was a problem and it was going to be fixed before the fervor of the possibility of earning points and getting close to receiving a discount took over the whole message board, I think most of us would have been understanding.
It was a lot of fun to see lurker peas coming out, and seeing the gallery so active! That is the kind of positive effect and good community building that I would expect from a loyalty programme!
The new loyalty programme and the way it is being handled does not feel like it involves much loyalty. It feels like something tangible has been taken from us, repeatedly and without warning.
To go from having a 15% discount to a 5% discount with zero warning at all was insulting, and it hurt -- my feelings, and my pocket book. It feels not like I am now paying full price for my supplies, but that I am actually paying you 10% MORE for my shopping trips.
Reducing the percent discount felt like it took money right out of my pocket.
Now, with the new point-based system having a dollar equivalent in the store (10 points =1$ spent), having points taken away feels again, like money TAKEN from me. While the points may have been earned erroneously due to your programming errors, when I see my points drop by 7,000, I see that as a 700$ loss in my total. To earn those points back I would need to spent 700$ in your store.
The loyalty programme, the point system, and the way it has been handled does not make me feel good about shopping here. It does not excite me and make me want to buy. It does not even make me want to post more, because frankly, earning a total of 7500 points for the year is really only a small contribution to the very large requirements for the discount level I had earned previously.
I am not sure my reasoning or feelings on this will make sense to you, or anyone else, but I really feel compelled to share this with you.
I don't expect you to change your programme, I don't expect anything in response to this.
But I do hope that the next time there is a meeting and you ask the 2Peas team "what can we do to make this community better?" you will think about some of the things that your customers and community members have said. Because I know you want 2Peas to be a great place -- and it is!

I will say, that when I look at my posts and my points, I do not believe they are correct. I would have expected more points, since none should have expired if I understand the program correctly.
I would like to see an 'accounting' of the points, which actually show what I earned when/how. Not just the net number. |

I am dying to know more about this point system, too! Why is it so seemingly random who gets points and why? 
I am grateful that I have been lucky enough to land a load of points this week (at other times, other peas was given thousands of points when I got none), but it would be wonderful to know the rules and thoughts behind it all.
Or is it perhaps meant to be random and secret? Just like how cults operate?
Again, I'm not really trusting my new luck with the points. Expecting to get my points ripped away at any second.

I am curious also. My points are all over the place. Right now, I have 4,068 but yesterday was less then 4,000. I didn't make any purchases, upload layouts or go on a posting frenzy. | |

Would love more info too. I was at 10% just prior to new system (never even got to use my discount)  . I feel that this new system doesn't reward the shoppers as much as the people who post (which I don't do that often and am a faaaar way from even 5% ), which is a shame since I used to love to shop here! |

ITA! Because I am planning on placing an order once I hit that 5% mark soon.
I have to say though (and I am not complaining) that I can't figure out the system either. I just got 60 points for my last post??? Some are 10. Not sure why.
I am sorry for those who aren't getting points like they should though. |

It does seem really odd. I have been getting 55 points per post, and 500 points to upload layouts. I maxed out last night, but it's rewarding me again today. Huh, I wonder why it would be different for some peas. |

I always wonder about 2 Peas "counting technology". 
My posts show that I have "8" layouts in the gallery, but actually that's how many I uploaded my very first time. It's been many many months since I've had over 30 - and it's much more than that now.
I do have to say, the whole "secretive thing" regarding these discount points just puzzles me. If 2 Peas can no longer afford to offer discounts, then that's all right - just state it. It's a tough economy to do business in right now. But it IS a little bit frustrating to feel like there is a kind of super secret club going on and you have no clue how it all works. | |

If people are getting extra points in error, I would hate for them to disappear. It would be popping my bubble, as I am close to a discount. I would be much more likely to make another purchase soon, even with just a small discount. | |

I didn't even know how to find my points until today. So I am definitely under a rock with this whole program, but when I did check them, I too was surprised to see just a number, with no breakdown at all.
So I have no idea how I got the points that I do have. |

I had been thinking that maybe they needed to update them daily running some sort of report from their records (like a different marketing program where I used to work) but some see updates right away so that probably isn't it. It is very confusing! |

I am interested in seeing a breakdown too. I had a bunch of points after CHA then some of those were taken away and now I have extra points again, I would hate to have them removed too. I was at 10% also before the switch over and now am in the bottom tier after a few layouts and a couple of shopping trips.

I haven't been earning any points at all for post since the 1st, I haven't tried to upload anything yet because I don't wanna waste a LO if I'm not gonna get any points! The only thing I have earned points for is my orders and its kinda making me mad as I'm trying to reach the ultimate goal of %15 like I used to have.. I believe I have over 20 post that I have not gotten any credit for! I was gonna wait a few days to see if it gets fixed and if not them submit a support ticket!!! |

And why do some people get 60 points for posting and others (like me) only 55 while some peas don't get anything?

I thought the sticky on the program said it was 5 points per post to a maximum of 300? Or maybe I read/am remembering it wrong... I don't think I've gotten any points for posting post-CHA...
