I'm making a mini album for someone and I just ran across stick pins that scrapers are now using to embellish tags, mini and such. Thing is how do you make the bottom part not sharp anymore? The person I'm making a mini for is on blood thinner and the last thing I need is a trip to ER because of my mini lol. Thanks so much! |

Are the tips of your pins behind something? I usually use them when I have used a pop dot and stick the point into those behind an embellishment/layer. You can also just place it behind something and make sure you add a drop of glue where it will 'live'.
I am not sure if the covers linked above would work for the type of pins we use. Stick pin jewerly has a thicker shaft. We tend to use the corsage type pins and they are thinner. Might work but maybe not. |

I usually stick mine in a piece of ribbon or pop dot. I try to add a blob of liquid adhesive for extra staying power. I don't worry too much about it falling out because in my case it's in a page protector.

This is exactly what I do. |

I posted my "remedy" for this several years ago. I use the clear silicone earring backs. You can also use wire trimmers to trim off the end but I prefer the earring backs. Here is my post with a photo:

Thank you all for the help. I made my way through the blizzard here to M's to get pins so I will try the tips you all suggested |

Stick the bottom of the pin in a foam dot behind an embellishment that way it will hold the pin securely and won't hurt anyone |

I use the earring backs like Patter suggested. I pack has a lot and will last a while. Found them at M's or J's. |
