Anyone ordering this new book and maybe some of the new collections? I really want to get the book and the Urban Bliss collection, maybe 24/7. I just don't know what I would "need" for add-ons without seeing the book! I'm afraid if I don't order want I think I may need, it will all be gone! | |

I preordered the book and the three new collections. I have to have all of it! I cannot wait to get it in my hands.

Like the brads, 4x4 and double sided papers that don't come in the collection (I think), chipboard stickers, and other things that are offered in the store to go with the paperlines. I'm not sure what I would need to duplicate the layouts in the book. | |

I want the book and all three new lines, but I didn't pre-order them from sg yet. I also want the brads and probably the chipboard embellishments. It adds up though.

Gotcha! Sorry i thought you were talking about something extra with the book, I generally don't look at the embellishments since I make my own with my Cameo.
That being said, I do buy all of the extra papers that don't come in the collection pack such as the Bingo card sheets and I buy 1 more of each of the papers that have the solid page background, like all dots if I don't purchase two collection packs.
Unfortunately for me, I do tend to purchase everything SS in twos since I love both sides and scrap "regular" 12x12!
Every time a new pack comes out, I stalk the SS blog and pull up a pic of the collection pack and then go through the rest of the collection and jot down the individual names of the extra papers I want to order. They keep coming out with new extras which really stretches the budget but I generally end up buying all of them! |

Just had to share with you that we got a proof of Sketch Fusion yesterday afternoon, checked everything one last time, found a couple of small typos, corrected them, and gave the printer the go ahead to start the printing presses! It's so exciting for us to have the color layouts in the books now -- such a great addition.
It's looking like we'll have the finished product in a matter of days, so just as soon as Simple Stories is ready to ship, we'll do the same!
And on the topic of embellishments, we only had the papers and stickers with which to create our pages -- brads and the other new embellishments weren't available yet. So, you'll be able to make the layouts just as they are if that's what you want to do, or you can easily add in the new, cute items in addition to what we've used. Shouldn't be a problem either way!

Yes, just Sketch Fusion pre-orders right now. I'm still working on the layouts for the One on One book.
On a totally different topic, I finally realized I was spending a huge amount of time going through my containers of brads, buttons, flowers, etc. looking for the right embellishments for these layouts. Then more time to put them back.
Something I had read here several times finally clicked with me, and I've spent the last few days re-organizing. No more dividing by item -- just color! I have 10 plastic containers -- one for each color -- and now I'll be able to grab one and start working. No wasting time!
So glad for that suggestion, even though it had to germinate a long time before I finally realized what a great tip it was!

Debbie, I started organizing by color about two years ago and it is so much better for me! I use the white photo boxes and have one for each major color I use and then one special box for all my Disney stuff. I need a color, I just grab the corresponding box and have everything i need. The embellishment boxes are paired with my paper hoppers so everything is so easy to get to!
Back on topic, can't wait for my collection!, I am so excited, I have been waiting for this for so very long. Although each update drives me insane, it is nice to know each day gets me closer! |
