For all of you awesome scrapbooking vets, where do you prefer to buy your supplies? I am hoping to get started on a scrapbook in this coming week (reading break for us college kids), but I am unsure of where to buy supplies!
I am on a budget, and my home-town does not have many options (pretty much it has a dollar store with some scrapbooking supplies), or I can go to Michael's in the city (where my plane lands to get home).
Who prefers to use the large chain stores, and who prefers to buy more unique items (like from this website!)?
Thanks | |

I get most of my stuff from Two Peas now, but if you're first starting out I think the big box store if worth the trip. They'll have better prices and more selection on things like albums, paper trimmers, idea books, and cardstock, and it might be nice to see and touch things before you buy. Once you have the basics down and have a sense of your style you can come splurge on the prettier, more fun things at Two Peas!
Keep in mind too that it can take about a week to receive an order from here (maybe 3 days if you choose priority shipping), so if you plan to start this week or next week you may not have everything in time.

order right here! Box stores don't have much of a selection and don't usually carry the latest and greatest trends. figuring out which type of album you want to use and which size is a great place to start! |

I definitely prefer to buy here over Michael's. The only drawback is that I have to limit my ordering to a few times a year, to cut down on shipping charges. The basics, like cardstock and tools, I will buy local, but I love being able to find the newest patterned papers and embellishments here, which big box craft stores don't always carry. |

I prefer 2Peas to the big box stores for the newest, latest, and greatest products. However, if you are on a budget, you should definitely check out Michaels.
I do buy my adhesive and plain cardstock at the Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, or Michaels.
Have fun on your break! |

I agree, definitely would choose Two Peas over any other store. They have great items that I can pretty much never find in Michael's or Joanns. Their shipping is super fast too (at least it always is for me)
