Hi everyone.
I bought a cameo last week and have been playing around with it but it is not lining up things correctly. This is not such a problem when I'm only cutting small objects, but when I want to cut large objects it cuts off the page!!! Is there anyway of realigning it or will I have to take it back to the store?
Any help is appreciated. | |

Are you pressing the load cutting mat rather that load cutting media. I heard some having this same problem and they found out that it was due to the above.
Not really sure if that is what is going on for you.
Hopefully someone with more experience will be able to help you. | |

Hi Creater1. I've tried both load cutting mat and load cutting media. Unfortunately it is still not lining up correctly. Load cutting media is out by about 1/2 inch. Load cutting mat is out by about 1 inch.
I've used the pen and attached a photo to show what it is doing.

I'd send a message to Silhouette and see what they say! I believe you can calibrate the machine! I have never had to do this but have heard that others have done it! |

Well I was going to chime in and ask if you were on 12x12 size on your screen but you are. That was my only guess other then loan cutting mat on the machine.
If you are close to your store, I would take it back and get another one. That seems like the easiest solution. If not, a call to customer service would do the trick, they are very helpful there!
I cut really close to my edges and I have never had an issue.

I had that problem once. I shut down my Silhouette software and turned off my computer and rebooted. After I did that it worked. Worth a try. |

I had that problem but I was loading the mat aligned to the wrong notch. I was using the far left notch but that was the wrong one.

Sounds like you need to calibrate your machine. It's easy to do. Just follow the instructions. I think you open the main file and the calibration option is there. |

Problem solved by Two Peas, not by silhouette support! Support were helpful in that they replied really quickly to my email and suggested all the basic things I had already tried. They said if none of those worked to email them again. However, PTScrapper628 is the hero today!  Thanks so much.
If anyone else has this problem, don't just turn of the cameo and the software like I did. Completely shut down the computer and reload it. Works a treat.
I think I shall now go and buy myself a new cutting mat and spend the next few days not getting out of my pj's.  | |

I love PJ days and playing with my scrappy stuff. Right now I am loving playing with my new baby Cameo all of 2 weeks old.
The things that I have been able to do easily right out of the box are short of amazing.
I have done some fabulous and intricate cuts with supreme results unlike the Cricut (which I have but will always have a place in my heart because I have spent a small fortune on everything).
I have done some great customized print and cut and I love the quality of the print and the precion that the Silhouette cuts.
This is one incredible and user friendly cutting system.
