I was embossing a title and it just gave out. I let it cool off for a while and plugged it back in. It still didn't work. To finish the title, I used the hair dryer! lol. (And I gotta say it worked pretty well).

I bought the heat tool a little over 2 years ago. Should I contact Ranger? Or look to get another brand of tool? I don't use it all that much, so that goes into the decision.

I would contact them if I were you. The worst thing they can say is no and then you are no worse off then you are now and they may surprise you!!I have heard good things about Ranger's customer service, but I have never had to deal with them personally.Good luck!!
