|Posted: 2/14/2013 12:38:52 PM|So when the Basic Grey Serenade line came out, I admit I wasn't crazy about it. It was nice, but not my taste. So several weeks later I guess it must have grown on me. Now I look at it and I really want. Lucky for me it's on clearance and I was able to grab some.
Do you ever look at a line and at first glance say no, but change your mind later?

Same here with 5th & Frolic! I'm a huge Dear Lizzy fan but was not impressed when it got revealed. Now I think it's my favorite Dear Lizzy line ever!

Of course, and the reverse happens too - I'll get all excited about a line and then after a closer inspection realize it isn't for me.

Yes, many times! Sometimes I just have to see it used first.

Yep. All the time. AND, like KBPea, the reverse happens to me a lot also.

Quite a few times! It's always fun to see how my opinions about a line will change from the time I first see it when the sneaks come out from CHA to the time they're released and I start seeing them being used. Lines that don't grab me at first can become one of my favorites, and a line I thought for sure I'd want all of, I might never buy.

I really want EP Sweet Girl but thought All About A Boy was too babyish for my DS8. Then I looked at it more and realized it wasn't. Now I'm excited for their release!
I bought tons of Crate Paper's Farmhouse thinking it was fall themed and I could use it for Fall and Thanksgiving but I found it very difficult. It wasn't what I thought it was. I should have looked at it closer. There are other lines that I found difficult to use.

Many times! I wouldn't purchase it myself, but find it in a kit that I subscribed to and end up loving it!

Yes! Usually after I see how someone used it!

That is totally me. I have a couple of collections that I look at and wonder what I was thinking.

When the whole brand BG came out and was advertised here on Two Peas I didn't like it. But when I saw it at my LSS (Sublime), I loved it! Sublime is still my favorite BG line of all times, but there have been plenty I have loved since then.

Both has happened to me too!
|Posted: 2/15/2013 7:26:25 AM|Yes both!
I bought Crate Paper's Portrait collection for some wedding photos but have since decided it is too dark and I'm resigning it to the sell/donate pile.
By contrast, I bought Echo Park's Victoria Gardens collection on a whim and when it arrived dismissed it as too floral. I decided to use it for my first attempt project for The Perfect Collection thinking that if it all went wrong it wouldn't matter. By the time the layouts were finished I had fallen in love with the collection and it one of my favourites. The layouts are in my gallery if anyone is interested!
I think The Perfect Collection is great for those paper packs that you have gone off because when the paper is all chopped and in starting points it looks very different!
