Which desk from Ikea do you have and would you buy it again or get a different one?
**Update**
I ended up with the Vika (middle size) and the adjustable legs. I like to stand when I scrap and sit when I sew, of course, so I figured this would be a good compromise. Also got the 4 x 4 expedit. Can't wait to get it all together!!!
Thanks for all your input! |

I have the 3'x4' table top ($20) and four $5 legs. I love it as its big enough to store some things and have lots of room for scrapping, plus I have some jet max cubes underneath, and an iris case that holds 7 iris cases underneath at one side. Cheap and functional, gotta love it! |

I recently bought their Secretary desk plus Add-on. I haven't gotten it put together yet because I have to do some reorganizing before I can put it where it will go.
But it has holes for cords, so I can use my cutter on it, and it closes up, so the mess can be hidden.
Since I can't afford a Scrapbox, this will help. |

I use the Vika glass top for crafts and SBing. Easy to clean off. It was about $40 due to the glass top. My kids have the Vika small tables that they use for desks. They cost about $20 each. We love them. |

Does the desk attachment take away from the storage space in the expedit? It looks like it would so I am hesitant to buy it for that reason. |

I have two desk attachments to two 2x4 expedits. You can still use the storage but it is a little harder to get to so I just put the things I don't have to get to often. Love it!

I have the Vika Amon corner desk. I love the space that it gives me in my small room. The desk is big enough to hold a small tv in the corner and a lot of organizing bins and a two page layout with extra room. Even with all of that room it does not take up too much space in my room. It is about four feet on each side.
My desk is white and it matches well with my white expedits. It has legs available in different fun colors if you have a bright room. |

The four cubes under are used to store stuff I don't always use. Not an issue for me. |

Check out the malm desk! I use it as my make up station & its one of the best desks I own! It's super long not to wide and has two really long drawers good for storing things! You can also buy glass to go over the top! If i didn't have a really nice vintage desk for my crafting I would defiantly buy another for my scrap area! I also have the ikea 9 drawer Alex and by far is one of the best storage units..it also matches the malm perfect |

I have two scrapping buddies who have the 5x5 with the desk and they have both said that it is just fine for storage, but of course you have to crawl under the desk to reach it. They put things there that they are not using all the time. One of my friends 'rotates' so she'll have her Christmas things down there for the summer and then move her summer items there and put the Christmas in an easier to reach spot. She keeps things in baskets, so she just pulls and moves--no problem! |

I also have the Vika Amon top (59" x 29.5" ). Mine is light birch with metal legs (an old style no longer available). I've had it for about 15 years and it still looks great. It was inexpensive and I've gotten more than my money's worth out of it. I would certainly purchase it again.

The expedition extension is good it doesn't block any storage but I would put stuff down there that you don't need to access often

I have the BJURSTA as my main scrapping table - I have had it as a centre console for friends to scrap around - seats 8 comfortably when extended and currently have it up against a wall with lots of raised shelving at the back to store my go to, about to buy the very small table to house my sewing machine. I have a kitchen trolley the FÖRHÖJA as my cutting station - the drawers house all my small/long dies, the top my sizzix big shot and Slice and all the other dies sit on the shelves in baskets. Love this space and it works well in many ways.

I read your update, but for anyone interested in an IKEA desk, I have the Galant. Love it. It's wide and sturdy. |
