So I am wondering if there is a way to take an image (basic curved arrow) and make it thinner? Not smaller as in scale but manipulate the overall thickness of the shape? I have the designer software but can't quite find a way to do this easily without moving all the points which is way to much time. TIA

Maybe use the release compound path option? I have used this on parts when I ungrouped and then do it again but still have things the I want to move.

You could try tracing the outside of the shape and offset it to the thinness you want. Or release compound path and enlarge the inner shape by percentage.

I'd try using the offset tool and use a negative or inside offset to thin out the shape.
