I have the Cricut Expression and I have seen a lot of posts on here about a Cameo. Is it a similar system? How does it differ and which do you prefer and why?

The cameo doesn't require the use of cartridges. I just sold my cricut and bought the cameo and let me tell you that was the best decision I ever made. You can buy just the images you want at the silhoutte store and not have to purchase a whole cartridge to get just one image.

I have both...I use the silhouette every time I scrapbook. I think I last used my cricut about a year ago. I really should sell it!
Just one more post!

I bought a Cameo intending to keep my Cricut but the more I use the Cameo that Cricut might be getting sold.

Definitely the Cameo. There are lots of sites that offer free cutting files. You can also trace clipart or pictures(copyright free ones of course) to create your own files. You can also design your own cutting files using the software.
I know lots of people who swapped from Cricut to Cameo but not a single one who swapped the other way.
