Hey Frozen Peas,

There hasn't been a weekly thread for the last couple of weeks so I thought I would start one for this week.

What have you re-discovered in your stash lately?
Have you made a dent in any particular supplies?

Happy Scrapping!

7Gypsies arrow photo turns: they're about an 1" long and get secured by a brad. I have them in black and dark bronze. Fell in love all over again and have been using them to anchor photos and as embellies like the arrows that are very trendy right now. I'm using small decorative brads (like OA and MME) to secure them. They look very on trend even though I've had them for years.

Remember those wonderful Autumn Leaves clear/acrylic stamps? Well, I bought just about all of them when my LSS went out of business. I moved last year and have been decluttering all of my scrapbooking supplies, and that's an awful lot of decluttering. Found this cute rubbermaid tote and it was like a Christmas morning! I have arrows and funky alphabets and the cutest journaling blocks....I am obsessed. Stamping away and making all kinds of fun addition to my pages.

Having a newborn means no shopping for me! But of course, no scrapping, either. I have a $5 off $5 coupon from A's, which I feel ok (kinda) about using, but doubt I will get to, and I'm okay with that, too! Moving some stuff out of the scrap room into our bedroom as we slowly work on converting our guest room/scrap room/office into her nursery. Right now I'm eyeing some foam stamps that I may purge.

Those arrows sound very on trend! And with brads!

I deffinately need to get more out of my stamps too

I've been using up a heap of my 6x6 paper pads. Have discovered some very pretty designs I'd purchased ages ago from MME that are so bright and cheery. Sometimes I'd only used one or two sheets but now I've used heaps

The Heidi Swapp stuff @ Michael's with coupons caused me to unfreeze...but I'll be frozen again by the end of the week.

Thursday will be 30 days frozen for me. I used lots of brads this past week, some really old ones that I've had at least 5 years.

I gave in to temptation this weekend and used my A's gift card and a little more to stock up on plain card stock. I did rediscover my stickers after checking out a few random YouTube videos. I have lots of pages that need titles and embellishments.

I'm doing LOAD this month and those LOs every day are bringing out the old collections I almost forgot I had! I think I've used 1/4 to 1/2 of at least four collection packs that had never been opened (and had been in stash at least two years). Feels good! And I went a little wild--used some B sides as backgrounds, and basically used "use it up!" as my answer to all questions that began with "Should I use...?" Good times.

Did unfreeze for those HSwapp mists at M's...but coupons kept my purchase of 3 under my biweekly budget.

I used some colored cardstock, glitter paper and some stickers that I have had awhile. And I put a date on the LO with my roller date stamp and did all my journaling so it is a finished LO!

Im making a huge dent in my adhesive supply and really working on using my scraps first. Im just glad Im scrapping again!

I have made a dent in my bazill coloured cardstock in making a present and a travel journal, and a dimple in my eyelet stash.

The thought of some US shopping in October is keeping me frozen solid. Must keep scrapping scrapping scrapping

I have a huge drawer (one of those plastic drawer sets) FULL of ribbons and textiles and I have really gotten back into using those lately. there are some great things to do with them and they add so much texture to a page!

I am joining the frozen peas (with the exception of adhesive and white/black/brown cardstock) and will be looking to my oldies but goodies to inspire me this week. I went into my huge stash of patterned paper and pulled out one I KNOW I had when I lived in Maryland (over 4 years ago).

My plan is to remain frozen until my scrap retreat at the end of April. I will likely shop just prior to or during the retreat. Wish me luck!!

I have a huge stash I need to use...so I became a Frozen Pea right before the group formed, I have thawed a few times after I went shopping to use gift cards...

Lately I have used buttons (with Bakers' Twine tied in the holes) as flower centers on cards. And today I will use some of my eyelets & set one in each corner & run bakers' twine through them to embellish a journaling card I made... I love bakers' twine! I LOVE shopping my stash & using stuff I already have!

I LOVE to talk about scrapbooking!!

I've made a dent in my recipe book supplies the last few weeks. But I had to buy another album so I had to thaw for that. It's all good, though.

I found fiber and since I don't any Bakers Twine right now (it's on it's way) I have been incorporating it on the albums I am making for the in-laws.

As far as making a dent in my stash, I wish! I was hoping to make some room for the new stuff. Good thing we all are good at organizing cause I will find a spot for all of it.

I am not technically frozen, but am trying to stick to a more realistic budget. And I ran out of ATG adhesive yesterday! Ugh, now I have a week until I can buy more. I have already spent all my allowed money.

But I did find a stash of page protectors I didn't know I had, so that will help March budget, I thought I was going to have to buy more.

Looks like I am not only frozen for the week, but won't be scrapping either. Maybe I will use the time to put kits together, or clean up my space

I am so frozen that I am giving up my monthly scrapping weekend retreat. I am so sad but income cuts have not been kind. I found some doubles of Tim Holtz products. I am selling them to friends .

I just found out my LSS is having an impromptu sale tomorrow, including clearance I know I should be good and resist. Maybe I could just browse.

I just placed my biggest Two Peas order ever, so now I am freezing myself except for adhesive and page protectors.

I have enough stuff on the way to last me a loooong time, and I hate how much energy I've been spending on shopping in the last couple of weeks! And I wasn't even one of the people anxiously awaiting the Amy Tan and Dear Lizzy lines! I've decided that when CHA Summer rolls around I am going to stay away from the boards and sneak peeks. I love scrapbooking, but I don't like getting so caught up in the shopping.

I'm not sure how long I should freeze for. Do y'all have a specific end date/goal (like making a certain number of LOs), or are you just frozen indefinitely?

In my experience, even if you "just browse" you will buy something! I think I'd have to stay away.

Did I kill the thread? Or did everyone "thaw out"?

I'm still here and I've still not purchased anything! I spent all day yesterday working on digital files. I have a ton of "free downloads" of journaling cards and Christmas embellishments that I wanted to change the colors on and resize so I focused on that yesterday. This weekend I will be processing photos (mostly, throwing out the bad ones and cropping and resizing the good ones) and then I will send the whole shebang to Sam's for printing on Monday.

My daughter got another college acceptance so it looks like we will be heading to San Fran at spring break to visit. It is one of three campuses she has not visited; the other two are in the DC metro area which we are VERY familiar with having moved from that area 4 years ago. I will be glad when this whole process if over and we know where she is going.

Congratulations to your daughter! I've never been to SF but would love to go.

I remember all those college trips with my parents. They must have been so tired of driving around the Northeast!

So frozen isn't really frozen????

I got some new stamp storage, ordered sale items from 2Peas and a PL tag punch from HL. I NEEDED everything I got, really, I promise, I couldn't live without it, I needed it for PL scrappin, had to have those arrows it is a rule isn't it, of course it is, and those ADORABLE sticker note thingies and the cloud note stickers and......

OK, frozen, no room left and I ain't gonna purge wheat I paid good money for.

Still frozen with the exception of some clearance items at m's yesterday. I spent less than $5 and 3 of that was for journaling cards that I needed for my PL. And my clearance items were Valentines embellishments which I did not have in my stash and needed for my daughter's first Valentine's layout

I think I'm thawing: I ordered acetate sheets to start organizing my acrylic stamps.

I'm going to do what this Pea did to store my ridiculous collection of acrylic & unmounted stamps.

I also bought adhesive. But that's it. So I'm not completely thawed, but definitely sitting a pool of condensation.

As for hitting my stash, I've complete about 15 LOs this month and have not purchased a single embellishment or piece of paper. So that's good, right? I did a LO about my Varsity Cheerleading and finally used the Thickers I bought specifically for that page. Yay!

Sounds like there is a heap of stash busting going on. (And a few little purchases here and there) But it's good to see people finding use for items they had forgotten they even had.

Keep up the good work everyone
