I posted this on the Pub, but thought I'd post it here, too.

I've been blogging for about 7 years or so. Sometimes I get caught up re-reading entries. I'm so glad I started blogging when I did as there are so many little details about the kids that I would have forgotten.

I feel like I'm pretty well covered with memories between scrapbooking and blogs.

What's your favorite story from your blog? Please share!

Here's one of mine and it's follow up post:

I am so happy I'm not the only one....and here I thought I was being self absorbed, lol.

If I get an email I think is spam, I will check that post to delete it from my comments..then figure since I am here I will see what I wrote, lol.

Or if I am looking back for a certain project that I did that I want to link back to then I figure...since I'm here I will see what I wrote, lol.
But then I will check back on some other posts as well.

Maybe I am self absorbed, lol.
But you are so right, I am so happy that I started my blog (on to my 4th year), not only for my crafts, but for documenting mine and my family's lives

I see I am already a follower to your blog, I will have to start visiting you again

I just post scrapbook pages and a few words about each page, so I don't go back and look - maybe once a year or so if I'm looking for a particular page. I guess I'm too shy to blog about our life!

On my family blog, definitely! In fact, I sometimes pull my journalling for stuff from my blog entries.

Good question!! I've been blogging since sometime in 2005, and I do actually do this occasionally as well-- not the very earliest posts, because they're pretty 'bad' in terms of the writing (and I didn't include photos with them!) but some of the later years' posts, for sure. I like looking back at what I've / we've done over the years, and since my memory is pretty poor, it comes in handy sometimes... especially when I'm planning new SB pages! (I was just looking through my blog last night, trying to figure out when we went to a particular restaurant so I can plan a SB page.)

I post crafty stuff, home /life stuff, and lots of photos of our cats and dogs.

This one is pretty cute (and a couple of the photos should be turned into a SB page): Weekend Snuggling and Snuggies

this one still chokes me up (but I can't bring myself to scrapbook any of the photos yet, so I'm glad I wrote the post): A Tribute to Sedona the Sheltie

I have a few posts about an art retreat I attended in WA state a couple years ago that I really enjoy looking back at; it's a good way to reminisce and remember how much fun I had: Next Artfest Installment

and then I've posted a number of entries that include photos of my art journals and my SB pages... this is a good one: My Scrapping Style Evolution

My blog isn't exactly 'gripping' in a literary sense, and I'm not overly focused on 'pretty' pictures (I love looking at those kinds of blogs, but I know I don't have the time to make mine look like that), but I don't think I'll ever quit blogging completely. For me, it's a different sort of memory-keeping that kind of 'goes along' with my scrapbooking and art journaling.

Velouria, your posts about the Halloween cake are hilarious! I knew the minute I read 'vote for the cake' and 'the figures need to light up' that your kids watch food television, lol!! Kudos for making the cake (sort of, anyway) that they wanted you to, and not just a plain old cake!

and now I'm off to read some of the archives...

Thank you for sharing your posts, Jennifer! I really enjoyed reading them and looking at the pictures.

That Artfest looked REALLY COOL!

Where in Arizona are you? I'm in Tucson.

Yes I do!!! It's like reading the story of my life.

A year or so ago, I read it from the beginning and I actually felt sad because I went through a major health crisis in 2007 and I could see how much funnier I was before that. It kind of gave me a jolt I needed to find my more carefree self.

I'm so thankful I have memories documented on my blog but I wish more of them were on a scrapbook page. Same for Facebook. I write every thought and story on Facebook now instead of scrapping it like I used to. I'm working on changing that in 2013!!

One of the blog posts I'm most thankful for is when a massive tornado hit my area and literally one street over, all the houses were destroyed. The storm damage ended five houses down from mine. I deleted those pictures because it hurt me so bad to look at them, but now years later, I'm glad I have them on my blog. The rebuilt houses have really changed the way my neighborhood looks. Here's that post... Tornado

My latest post is actually a favorite because it shows such a great snapshot of my life and how happy I am right now... weekend update

Tracie, reading your tornado post was really amazing-- it must have been absolutely surreal to see that sort of destruction in your neighborhood! I'm glad to hear the houses are back and the neighborhood has recovered.

And Heather, thanks for stopping by my blog! I live in Maricopa, which is about 30 miles south of Phx, about midway between Phoenix and Casa Grande, west of I-10 (if you're familiar with that area). I'm actually going to be attending the Scissors in the City crop in Tucson at the end of April; are you going, by any chance? It would be nice to meet an actual Pea in person!

Thank you!! It took me a while to get over it. I hid in the closet with my baby girl not knowing that five houses away, all hell had broken loose. But I did hear the train sound so I knew something was going on. Definitely something I need to document as it was life-changing.

Wow, Tracie! Those picture of the homes are so sad!! Those poor people.

Jennifer, no I'm not going to that event. I don't get out very often as I'm very shy.
