These are the Studio Calico stickers I got in my Feb 2013 Citrus Twist kit today.

I love the color and the different types of fonts, but what I think is off is the cutting on the stickers.

Do you see what I mean? I can lift off a sticker but the letter isn't fully on the sticker

Is this the style or should i contact SC or CT??

Gallery pics of Studio Calico sticker Sheet

UPDATE

Trina from Citrus Twist immediately sent me a new sheet of stickers. I took a side by side comparison picture today when they arrived (AMAZINGLY FAST AND well packaged!!!)

Link to side by side pic in gallery

HUGE difference and very VERY obvious that my first set were cut wrong!

Thank you so much Trina as I still have not heard a thing from Studio Calico or American Crafts. Yet again, Trina with Citrus Twist provided the customer service needed!!! She has not let me down!!!

It looks odd to me. But some of the letters look too big to fit on the stickers even if they were central. Maybe someone who has some of the other sets could tell you what they were supposed to look like

At first I thought this might be true, but if you look at the letter "L" in the second picture, those stickers will be useless as the tall part of the L is completely cut off.

That's what I noticed - some letters were too far over to just be meant to be a bit off the edge. I didn't notice the L specifically, just that some were nearly off.

Mine are exactly the same! I used a few and then bought the other color from A's and they are not cut like that... friend told me SC has good CS and to let them know but I haven't gotten around to doing that yet.

I got them from my Citrus Twist Kit, so I wrote Trina (of CT) and asked her if mine were a misprint or if that is how they all are.

Since I bought them from CT, I thought I should start there.

Yours where cut wrong.. I have these stickers and yes some of the letters over lap a little but not as much as yours does.. Contact ct ..

I I once ordered a set of pebbles stickers much like the ones you have .. The blue ones from the family collection and the entire right side row of the sticker sheet was cut in half I lost about 2 letters from each alpha.. I never told twopeas about or pebbles cuz I hate to speak up over small things like that I always feel stupid even though I shouldn't because it money I'm Losing.. But if your not happy with them let them know don't let it go because in the end it will be ur lose! Besides that would drive me insane too I have OCD when it comes to those dang alphas & thickers lol

I own three different sets .. Grey, navy & Tim & beck craft ..I can take photos of it If you want! As long as someone can tell me how to upload it using my iPad lol

That must be a mis-sizing problem. A lot of those letters wouldn't be legible once removed from the sheet, given how much is cut off of some letters.

Ditto this. Mine overlap a little but the letter is always visible.

I have that sticker sheet and mine are a little off too but it looks intentional on mine. Yours actually look like it was cut wrong. I would say to contact them and send the picture so they can see that the letters are way off.

Good Luck

Yes, I agree that these were designed to overlap, but NOT like yours are! I wouldn't hesitate to contact someone! A couple months ago, I ordered a set of the American Crafts tile Thickers from 2peas and all of the alphas on the back side of the sheet were not even fully on the tiles! The only alpha that was usable was a colon. I contacted 2peas with a picture and they sent me out a new set! It happens!

I think you should try to spell a title out with those stickers, photograph it and send it as a sample back to the manufacturer. I can't see how one could possibly understand anything written with the tiles cut that way.

It's like the first 1/3 of each letter is missing!

Another complete "miss" from Studio Calico. I wonder how much longer people will continue to support their awful stuff?

I'm sorry OP; I know you got yours in a kit and had no control over it. Hopefully someone will get you a better set. One thing is for sure, if Trina CAN she WILL; her customer service is spot on and certainly better than SC. You are wise to start with CT.

maybe you could color them with ink or paint, while they're still on the sheet, to make them work for you. something like black staz-on?

I got these in my January Scrapbook Circle kit, and yes they are supposed to look like that.

honesty, I kind of hate them. They are a gorgeous grey + a great size, and I was so excited when I first pulled them out, but I just can't get into the random font thing or the off-the-edge thing. I was able to squeak a few words out of the pack (trying my best to keep like font with like font) but I'll be pitching these before long. I just feel like I can't get the same millage out of these that I can with a regular alpha.

***edited***
I looked at your photos a little closer and I think yours are off a tiny bit, and I am glad you are trying to get it resolved. I still think this product in general a dud in comparison to other alphas on the market.

These stickers were designed with the letters overlapping the edges.

Why? When they are removed from the sheet, it is difficult to determine what the letter was supposed to be.

ETA: I just looked at the image in the 2peas store - they may overlap the cut lines, but just a little. The ones posted in this thread were printed way out of alignment.

Mine are like that too. I sent an email to American Crafts since they own SC and have not heard back from them at all. I am really disappointed. I have no idea if mine came from a kit or not as I always break things down when I get them.

Yep they are bad in my opinion. I just had some AC crafts cut wrong; they asked me to send them in. I did because I was that mad. Anyway, they sent me a box of goodies- more than they had to to make it right. I was very very very satisfied... made me want to only order there stuff.

Mine overlap, but nothing like the first photo linked on this thread. I think there was definitely a printing error. Mine "bleed" but are totally usable and readable.

It's best to contact the manufacturer instead of the retailer/kit club you purchased them from. So, if I were you, I'd contact Studio Calico/American Crafts directly. They got back to me really fast!

I had this happen with some Echo Park letter stickers recently--they were letter shaped, not squares, and the die cutting around the letters was uneven, making it cut into the white background too. It looked terrible.

I just mentioned this because I wonder if this is a problem related to a manufacturing company that does the printing? It may be cheaper for the scrapbooking companies, but it's cheaper because it cuts corners. No pun intended.

I remember reading this post when it came out. I checked my grey stickers. I did not check my navy ones (Darling Dear) that I bought in January that are the same style. Needless to say I pulled them out this weekend to make a layout and encountered the cuts that make the letters indistinguishable once pulled off the backing sheet.
