Does anyone use Picasa to edit their photos instead of editing software like photoshop? I don't have photoshop and always see people writing about using it. I thought I read an article on someone's blog recently some info and instruction about using picasa but now I can't remember where. Can anyone help? Any other tips would be fantastic too.

thanks.

I use it all the time. I really like how it is very easy to use. They have added many new features too. If I'm not mistaken persnickety prints has a couple of tutorials on their blog.

I use Picasa. I like using the collage feature.

They have added many new features too.

Thanks for reminding me. It's been awhile since I've updated. I just did it.

I use it all the time. I take hundreds of photos during baseball season and it's very easy to use to edit quickly.

I only use Picasa and have for several years. I had photoshop some time back but Picasa is free.

I've started using it more often than not - otherwise I just never seem to get done editing my photos in photoshop. It does a pretty good job on the majority of my photos, though I warn you that I find it a little too easy to over-edit my photos (so that skin tones end up weird and colors unnaturally vibrant) but as long as you use a light touch with it I'd say Picasa is a great editing tool.

I mostly use Picasa too unless I have a photo that really requires some extensive editing.

It's quick and simple to use. Love that.

Thanks for all the positive opinions. I actually just updated Picasa - if you go to "help" at the top and click on it the last option is "check for update". Thanks again! Now to find that blog post!

Another Picasa lover here! I use it for crops and edits almost exclusively as it is so much faster than PSE. I also use it to add text to my photos for PL.
