So, I was shocked to learn that TJ Maxx apparently has scrapbook stuff??? I got Thickers there today...8 PACKAGES!!! for $1.49 each !!! I went from never having bought a single pack of these, because all the ones I saw seemed to NOT stick properly...anyway, I blame Shimelle (and her pal GG)....I LOVE everything she does, and she uses Thickers constantly. Now in one week, I have bought like 14 packs....eeek!!! I think I'm in trouble!

And...I decided TJ Maxx might be awesome! This was only like the 2nd time I went in there, but they had quite a bit of nice stuff....would also be an excellent place to start a twine addiction.

There was another thread about this topic, but it disappeared. I scored ten packs of those Thickers! Don't you just love deals like that?

Love TJM!
Would suggest using additional adhesive on the Thickers-I really like to use a liquid glue - tombow.

I think that's 2 threads pulled now. Stay tuned... this one will soon disappear. I wonder if someone is reporting them or is 2 peas really being that vigilant?

The other thread is gone because it was pulled because you can't post about getting stuff at another store that is sold at 2 peas. So, this one will probably be gone by morning!

And, I have a serious thicker addiction!

You may want to check out Marshalls if you have one also.

They were with "stationary" (really just some packaged cards)...very near things like candles and picture frames. Others said they also found them in the "alley" near the registers.

My store had them on a rack near the check out. I looked all over before finding them.

Really interesting to see the cycles of hyper-vigilance here regarding posts that mention other stores or sites.

I don't use thickers, as I consider them to be expensive, though I can see they would be quicker than many other ways of making a title, etc.
At a discounted price, like the deals mentioned in this thread, I might consider trying a few thickers, which might lead me to paying regular price for some later.

I *get* that this is a store and they wish to preserve sales.
However, dollars spent elsewhere do not necessarily represent dollars that would otherwise be spent here at two peas.
To get me to shop at two peas, give me a shipping discount (applicable to my choice of shipping method) at a much lower purchase point and don't exclude items.

Just sayin'

I bet that they often do though. Just look at all the posters who asked people to PM the names of websites where they bought the new Dear Lizzy, Crate Paper, and Amy Tangerine lines because Two Peas didn't have them in stock. I bet that without the "I bought Amy Tan elsewhere because I couldn't wait anymore" threads and PMs at least some of those people would have waited to buy the lines here instead. I think that's why there seems to be an increase in vigilance lately. I don't really mind if Two Peas pulls these threads - this is a store first and foremost, and if everyone takes their business elsewhere there wouldn't be any revenue to support these message boards anyways.

I had never bought Thickers at regular price, either, because I have a die cut machine, but they are just super dran fast for the project I am working on which has me making EIGHT of the same page....just so much to design and cut on my machine, and sticking little cut out letters is always a huge pain.

As far as online purchasing, I tend to like instant gratification of shopping in stores. I buy online things I can't find in stores, or things where I am saving crazy amounts of $$, even after I take shipping into account.
