Every time I finish a layout I get stuck at the title. I don't know how I want to title it. How do y'all come up with titles for your page.

The first thing I do when doing a LO is come up with a title. Once the title is decided I can use things relating to it. When I am looking at pictures I see what pops at me-- emotion, something happened or event or a place we were visiting.

I usually emphasize wording or a phrase within my journaling. Or I focus on an emotion within the photo. I try to stay away from the generic, obvious titles like Birthday Girl, Friends, Christmas etc. as I want my title to draw in the viewer of my pages.

When I pull my pictures (which is the first thing I do) I take a peice of paper and write keywords that relate to the picture. Then I make "phrases" with these keywords.

Like a picture of my brother in the captians chair on the USS Yorktown looking tired I write

Long Day
USS Yorktown

And from that I got "A long, hard day of Play".

I hope this helps. I used to get stuck on my titles but I took a lesson from Etsy titles and it seems to work.

Edited to add-- I am working on a blog post about this..I will link here when I finish.

I like to think I'm kind of witty so my titles often use a play on words or a touch of sarcasm. Song titles and lyrics often find a place on my pages too.

When I pick a title I always try to look at my photos and re-read my journaling to try and come up with something that reflects the moment and how I felt about it. Hope that helps!

I have three books downloaded on my kindle about scrapbook titles.
'The Best of the Best Scrap Titles'
'Entitled Scrapbooking'
'All the Write Words'

And a handy book I got at A's. when those dont help I use google!!
For example if I want child quotes I google:
Child scrapbook titles
Girl scrapbook titles
Boy scrapbook titles

Hope this helps!!!
