I got my flyer in the mail today from HSN with a calendar of what is to come. One whole page has a picture of Martha Stewart, Anna Griffin and Lisa Bearnson and it says....
Martha Stewart Crafts, Anna Griffin and Introducing David Tutera Celebrate and Scrabooking Expert Lisa Bearnson.
Then on the calendar for the 25th there is a picture of Lisa and it says Lisa Bearnson Premiere and has the symbol for TS (todays special) and EF (extra flex payment)
Hmmmm...wonder what the todays special could be. Anyone know? |

She said she was leaving QVC to spend more time with the family. I guess her kids have grown up enough now for her to return to TV.
I'm surprised (in a good way) to see that some Peas are happy to see her again, because it seemed that many didn't like her presentations. Either her voice was too whiny or she said everything was "cute".

She "left" when qvc decided to drop all their craft and sewing shows. HSN picked up the slack and does get the latest and greatest before new things hit the stores. You can thank Suzanne Runyeon for keeping the shows alive as she originally did the craft shows on qvc. I use to love all the shows on qvc. But in all honesty, Lisa got very repetitious the last few years she was on. Hope she shows up with fresh new items. HSN does not do a good job of describing products and tends to show too few in an hour, but it is still great that at least one network realizes there is a market out there for crafters and sewers.

I do not like the way HSN presents scrapbooking BUT I will be watching when Lisa is on. I wonder if she will be selling PL along with Becky Higgins!! Just a thought. |

I can't wait! I love watching Lisa do her thing. I remember when she revealed her updated scrap room, I was drooling. I have so many fond memories of the shows on QVC. I'm glad HSN still offer us something to see and buy. |

Happy Dance time!
I looked forward to her shows. Her presentations were drastically better than any I've seen on HSN.
So many times, they flip through layouts and the cameras aren't even on them.

It's said that it is PL stuff that we haven't seen before at a price we haven't seen before. I'm really not all that excited. I do like her Honey kit that will be out in May, otherwise I'm staying away. I don't need all this stuff. |

I hope they have an early release of the PL kits on that day. I really want the Honey and Cinnamon Kits. It will be interesting to see what the prices are going to be on what they are offering. |

QVC doesn't do scrapbooking shows anymore. I miss them. I watch the HSN shows, but QVC did a better job IMO. |

Sadly, QVC dropped all the craft and sewing shows...very big mistake as so many of their programming involves boring things like vacuum cleaners. They seldom get any of my money these days. | |

I hope I get the chance to watch! It's been a very long time since we've seen some Lisa Bearnson. I hope the hosts are forewarned about her violent tendencies.
Honestly I'm glad I'm never under the microscope like that because I am far from perfect. Excited to see what she and Becky bring to HSN though! |

I think that is the only way I would be tempted to buy more. I love the one kit I bought--Seafoam--but I wouldn't buy another kit with so many repetitions of the same designs again. |

Basically, QVC dumped all the sewing, crafting and scrapbooking shows about the same time DIY and HGTV did the same. HGTV use to be fun when it had Carol Duvall doing crafts, Alex Anderson quilting and lots of home dec shows. Now all that's on is House Hunters type shows. I checked out DIY this afternoon for the first time in a year and it's all demolition type fix ups.
I was at a workshop when Alex Anderson had just found out her show was cancelled after eleven years on the air...she was the main speaker and was upset. She said that the networks felt these types of shows were not attracting the demographics they wanted...that crafters and sewers don't spend enough money...duh. I have never understood why QVC simply eliminated everything related to crafting...their 24 hour craft days use to be such fun. | |

The Slap.
She later dismissed it as kidding around with David Venable since they were such good pals, but during her final year at QVC she became consistently snippy and impatient with him on air. It didn't look or sound good.
