I didn't, and I just got done cleaning up the resulting spill. I'm currently in mourning for both my layout (which might be salvageable, at best) and the loss of at least a quarter inch worth of Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Color Shine.

So sorry! Hope you were able to save your layout.
We had a similar experience but it was with a mustard bottle in a restaurant. Dh accidentally covered me with condiments.

I just learned this exact same lesson this afternoon!!!! Was able to save the layout though...

Ouch, I've been there. Mostly with food and the only thing ruined is my dinner. But you can bet I'm going to be checking those bottles of mists before I proceed to spray!

Thanks for reminder, it just takes once and you never forget.

Good reminder! I'm sorry that happened to you!

I think I would have soaked it up with a sponge and tried to squeeze it back into the bottle...

I had a bottle of smooch & was shaking it before use & it flew out of my hand across the room & shattered all over my tile floor making a giant inky glittery glassy mess.
I recommend anything in a plastic bottle!

Ugh. I have done that with nail polish. I feel your pain.

Yikes! Thanks for the reminder. That could sure make a big mess. I hope you are able to salvage your LO.

Were you able to salvage much?
And HS Gold Lame! Such a loss!
|Posted: 2/26/2013 8:28:18 AM|You know, I remember reading this post and actually did remember your tip when I got out my mists this weekend - I had caps on and off for drops and then back on for spray, etc. I'm just the kind of girl to do just what you did. But I didn't and was glad...
Unfortunately, you didn't remind me not to shake the olive oil bottle without making sure its cap was on tight when I went to make dinner! And what a mess I made with that olive oil shaking, after being so careful with my mists - lol!

Oh no! That's not fun!!! I hope you can salvage your page!
