I've had my Cameo for over a month now and I'm LOVING it. I can design, convert, etc. just about everything with the basic (free) software. I had planned on upgrading whenever I found a sale. My main reason was that I have thousands off svg files from my Cricut. With the basic, I have to convert them first in Inkscape, which only takes 2 seconds.

So, I'm wondering now if I even need the designer edition? Is it really that much better?

Also, this is the first "deal" I've seen on the software:

Studio Designer Edition

Is this as cheap as I'll find it? Lots of people have told me not to pay full price, as it always goes on sale. This is the only sale I've found!

Canon 40d, Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 70-300, Sigma 28-75

Its not a bad price. I think I have seen it for $24.99 before but do not quote me LOL!

I think for me the only reason was to convert SVG files into the software as I am not familiar with inkscape. If you can do everything you want why spend the money

Do you have Sure Cuts A Lot? You can upgrade to version 3 for free if you do and it will cut SVGs for you on Silhouette machines.
