Here's to another month on the thread! March marks the official beginning of spring - I'm sure many will welcome it!

Who are the Young Scrappers? We are a group of "young" 20-something to 30-something year old girls who created a group to share our interest in scrapbooking! We take the "young" part lightly - it's all about how young you feel. Feel free to join in the chat! Just post an intro so we know who you are. And post links to your layouts here - we love to share our work & leave some praise!

-------------------------------

We have a brand new challenge for the year:

For the Pinspiration Challenge, we collaborated to create a list of 52 challenges - one for each week this year! The challenges were based off of layouts we had pinned on Pinterest or bookmarked online. It is a way to use some of that inspiration we are constantly pinning on Pinterest!

There really are no rules with this challenge! It is more just a way to motivate each other to scrapbook. Choose challenges from the list that you feel inspired by, create something, and share it with us! The goal is to see how many challenges you can complete in one year.

Here is the link to the challenge list to download: challenge sheet

And here is the Pinterest board with all the challenges and sample layouts: Pinspiration challenge on Pinterest

Every month, we will have a hostess to keep us motivated. For March, our hostess is ME (MONICA)! Here are the details for this month:

//kit//
I am going to have you make up a kit like Rachel did last month, in which to complete your challenges with! My inspiration for this month's kit is spring. Please include in your kit (papers/embellishments/etc.):
-flower(s) or floral print
-bright colors
-a new item
-something green
-a creature (i.e. bird, owl, butterfly, etc.)

//challenges//
(I just finished the Bright Ideas class at Studio Calico and LOVED it. So what I am doing this month is issuing you a challenge for each week that is a combination of one of my faves from Bright Ideas and one from our Pinspiration list.)
*week 1:
Polka Dot DIY -- Create your own polka dots on your project.
+
#17 -- Use black, white, gray, and a color on a layout.

//Dicussion//
*week 1:
Scrappy: Most favorite title you've used on a layout.
Non-scrappy: Name your greatest accomplishment.

hey girls!
Super excited that it's March! I am sooo ready for spring!

I am also hosting this month's challenges. Your first assignment is to get your kit together (I'm stealing Rachel's kit idea, with a twist).

Here are the details for week 1 (March 1-8):
//kit//

//challenges//

//Dicussion//
*week 1:
Scrappy: Most favorite title you've used on a layout.
Non-scrappy: Name your greatest accomplishment.

------------------------------------

A couple of clarifications:
-You can make your kit however you'd like & whatever theme you'd like! Just make sure you include the things I listed (they are things that make me think of spring). For example, for "flowers" you could include a floral patterned paper or paper flower or floral washi. For "creature" you could do butterfly veneers or a bird rubon. Does that make sense?

-As I explained with the challenges, each week's challenge will ask you to combine TWO challenges onto one project! I have picked one challenge from my favorites from the Bright Ideas class and one challenge from our Pinspiration list.

-There will be a PRIZE for each week's challenge, drawn from all entries from that week. So that makes 4 chances to win! Don't forget to check the challenge checkbox on step 4 of the upload process in the gallery for it to qualify!.

Dumb question (and you may have already told us), but do you like to be called Laura or Laura Mae?! BTW, my niece's middle name is Mae, spelled the same way

Wow, Monica this looks awesome! Unfortunately, I didn't even get around to using my kit from last month... Shame one me I know. But... I do have some super exciting news!

#1- I won a prize in the AC valentines blog hop giveaway! Haven't heard back from the blog hostess yet though....
#2- I'm going to be published! I sent my camel page to 3 different publishers and the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine just replied today! So I'm happy that I don't have to send my page outside of my province

I'm quite hyper now. Let's just hope this luck translates to my midterm tomorrow...

Congratulations Hodge that is such wonderful news!!

I'm looking forward to getting a kit put together for this challenge. I'm hoping to work in my scrapbook room on Sunday. I have such a beautiful room just can never get in there because Allie is always wanting my attention and DH is too busy playing Call of Duty

Here's to hoping I can get some things accomplished on Sunday.

Not a dumb question Monica. My first name is Laura Mae. I go by both, or Lo because 2 names is a lot for people to say sometimes. At Starbucks I always say Mae because they always get confused when I tell them Laura Mae and end up writing random nonsense on my cups haha! But thats so awesome!! No one has the name Mae spelled that way. Usually I tell people Mae like the band and if they know who that band is then I'm happy!

Ahhhh Christina thats so exciting!! Being published at such a young age you go girl!!!

Hello ladies! Guess February flew right by without me doing much. I am still fighting this stupid sinus infections and just got over what felt like the flu. Now I am just working off no sleep, but still have to stay up for my girls. Hoping I can make it until later.

I am hoping to join in the chatter, but I doubt I will be able to do much scrapbooking with you ladies. You ladies have fun though and I'll drop in to chat.

Christina: congrats on your publication and winning a prize. Hope school is going just as great.

Discussion answers
1. I'd have to look through my layouts to see which title I like the best. I tend to keep my titles simple for the most part.

2. My greatest accomplishment is my children (cheesy I know, but they are). Besides my children I would say my next greatest accomplishment was graduating college in 3 years and walking across that stage to receive my diploma and have my dad, mom, and husband in the crowd. Not to mention that my last year I was pregnant and still made the 4 hour roundtrip to school 5 days a week.

Laura, I thought he was going to be in FL for some reason. Only 4 hours away!? That's so much better. You girls with long distance relationships are so much stronger than me. I'd be a basket case!
Actually we are going to try sign language. Years ago a friend of mine started it with her son because of the same reason. She didn't expect the words to come, she just wanted to communicate better with him. He barely signed, but the words came! So, I'm hoping to do that with her. I know you aren't supposed to compare, but my nieces are 6 weeks older than her and I was with them yesterday, "I want more pizza!" LOL, My sister's kids are all great talkers. First words at 6 months, sentences before 2!
She's doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing everywhere else, so I don't think it will be a long term problem. In fact my 2 that talked earlier had speech problems and my oldest who was also slow to speak never did. So, I think it really is just that I see my nieces and other kids her age and I don't want her to be too far behind.
But that's encouraging, thanks for telling me about your friends son!

Rachel, yay for solid food! You'll feel like less of a milk cow now. haha.

Dee, How fun to be looking towards your wedding! I hope it's really special! To answer your question about what it's like, I think it's different regionally. I got married in an LDS temple with a small number of family and friends there then a week later we had a reception at a church where the whole Valley came. I hear that in "the South" it can be a 3 day event!
Of course I liked it too! Thanks so much. It was fun to try a real Dutch recipe and share it. (For those of you that don't know what we're talking about, I asked Dee for a dessert recipe to share at my book group. We read the Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom, a dutch author.)

OH wow, this is so long already and I haven't even seen the March comments! I'll take a break, sorry about the long post guys!

Monica, ooh, challenging challenges! I know what I want to do for my LO, but what pictures will I use? LOL The kit sounds almost a little tricky, but I know once I start pulling things together it will be easy and fun.

So Laura Mae, I've been calling you the wrong name this whole time!? Sorry!

FANTASTIC NEWS!!! Yay Christina! Let us know when it comes out and also congrats on the prize. Less exciting, but still awesome!

Elizabeth, get better already! Ugh! I can't wait for this sick season to end for your sake. Get plenty of rest! Wish I could bring you some chicken soup and something chocolate right now. Hmm . . . Now I have to go make brownies . . .

Alright, finally have things settled so I can scrap and I'm so tired!! I may just have to nap. (after I make brownies) But hopefully hubs won't mind me scrapping after dinner if anyone wants to join me!

Loni: I want warmer weather too. My cold is probably lingering because as you know no meds to help and I realized this is the first year my children attend Sunday school twice a week with other children and I don't get them flu shots. So Lilo loves her fingers still and doesn't understand fully cover your mouth or tissue (the germs just love my house). Hoping soon to be able to do a clean sweep of the place and get everyone here better. I promise I am normally not this sick even while being pregnant. This year is just whipping my butt.

Not to mention I started having Braxton hicks (I hope it's that) and been dealing with that all day just about. Getting worried because with Lilo I got to 6 cm @36 weeks and didn't know I was in labor. Actually was going to take Glori to the park. but the other night I just started feeling weird and I keep passing it off hoping it's nothing. I go in on Tuesday so hoping I can not have any problems over the weekend. It's just crazy because weeks ago I dreamt I went into labor at 20 weeks and I just got that feeling (usually need to trust it). I am just going to try to rest and I'll chat soon.

Congrats hodge.

Man february flew by. I'm still unemployed and now single again. as of last night.
It stinks but hey maybe I'll get a little scrapping in. I have zero clue what to do with the valentine themed paper I bought. But hey I love a lot of people so maybe I'll just use it later. thankfully we hadn't said those 3 words yet. I'm just bummed but I saw it coming. He's got a new plan for his life and I just don't fit. he wants to move out of state & such.

He wants to be "friends"

Hopefully I'll feel like scrapping when this hangover leaves. Lol. No icecream for this chick.

Heck I might make a kit. I've been meaning too.

Hope you ladies are having A better start to the weekend then me. Maybe I'll actually be able to keep up with the march thread.

Loni: I say girl from the pictures I've seen, but sometimes pictures are deceiving. Hope the appointment goes good and your little one is not being shy.

After my nap I started to get back pains, but they aren't that bad. Trying to relax and hopefully not have to make a rush for the hospital later tonight. I think if I keep stressing myself out over it it makes it worse so now I am going to snuggle with my sick hubby (yes everyone in the house is sick) and watch a movie.

Bethany: sorry to hear about your breakup. Hang in there and try to have a good weekend.

Sorry I wasn't around much in February, I promise to be more active this month!

Anyone scrapping tonight? Tomorrow is my mom's birthday and we are going to surprise her, so I need to make her a card tonight. Maybe I will put my kit together in the process!

Laura Mae: I LOVE the band Mae!!

Christina: Congratulations! That is awesome!

Elizabeth: I hope you feel better soon!

Bethany: Sorry to hear about the break up

Loni: I am going to guess...Girl! Do you have any names picked out yet?

Yay, chatty already this month!
I had a great start to my day, but by the end my tooth started hurting. And now it is killing me I think I need to make a trip to the dentist tomorrow, if they happen to be open. UGH!

Christina- Those are both awesome things! Congrats! Let us know when the magazine issue comes out that has your layout in it!

Tessa- Bummer about not getting in your scrap room Men As much as we get crap for our scrapbooking, they sure like to play the video games, huh?!

Laura Mae- Got it now! I think it's really pretty and unique! Besides my niece, I had never known anyone to have that spelling of "Mae." It's a family name in her mom's family.

Elizabeth- UGH! I'm with Loni, you need to start feeling better so you can hang out with us more! Is it mostly because of your pregnancy? My bestie has been very sick her entire pregnancy. She's down to the last 2 months and can barely keep anything down. Really sucks! Hope you are doing better soon.

Loni- All kids develop at different ages, it's just the way it is! My guess is she is one of those that observes everyone else talking and when her time comes, she won't quit talking One suggestion is to have her hearing checked. When I went through my education classes, they said that is one of the first things to check for if a student has trouble with speech/talking.

Anyway, you really think the kit is tricky? They are just things to guide it along! Oh, and I am going to guess boy for the baby's sex.

Bethany- oh my gosh, that really sucks. Hugs girlie! I've given up on guys at the moment... I figure if the right one comes along, then great! But my general perspective is that most guys are so self-absorbed that they can't be in a meaningful relationship. But I sure hope you're right, that you'll be around more! Definitely get a kit together and join in the challenges! Oh -- yes, we still have the chatroom going. Some of us are pretty religious about checking in every night or couple of nights I can email the info again.

Steph- Yes, you need to put your kit together! I can't wait to see it!

So I've been having some terrible back pain lately. I have had arthritis in my back since I was 20 because I used to be a dancer so I'm used to back pain. But this pain is different, awfully different. Well a few weeks back when we had the crazy blizzard, I fell allll the way down our basement stairs and bruised myself up really bad. Mind you our basement stairs (they are on the inside of the apt) are made out of wood without any grip whatsoever and theres no handrails or even a light that works. Not the safest thing, and I was carrying a load full of groceries and had wet shoes from the snow, the reason why I fell..I didn't think too much into it until a few days later my back was in so much pain I couldn't move. I had to lay down for the rest of the night and called out of work the next day. Over the next few days it slowly started getting a little better but then at the beginning of this week it came back again and I had to go to Urgent Care. The dr. there told me I have a bulging disc that he could see on the X-ray but that it could be something more and that I need to be referred to an orthopedic dr and have an MRI done. But I've been using a heating pad for now and the UC dr gave me a low low loooow dose of Valium. (I told him that I have a bad history with pain killers, they make me sick, and that the last muscle relaxer I took made me feel like jello and completely knocked me out for a full 9+ hours every time I took it. I hated it.) I guess the Valium works as a muscle relaxer too. We will see, but on my way to recovery thats for sure.

That was my long week update.

Scrappy: Most favorite title you've used on a layout.
Oh! At first I was stumped on this question then it came to me. My Las Vegas title page for my 21st birthday. I was very proud of that at the time. Now that I look back on it theres a lot I would change about that page. It was from 2009.......
Las Vegas LO

Non-scrappy: Name your greatest accomplishment.
Moving from California to New York.

Loni I'm sure Christina agrees its not easy but you get used to it thats for sure. But yes Maryland is going to be so great I can't wait! I never ever ever evvver wanted to be in a long distance relationship, or date someone in the military...and here I am doing both! Life works out that way.
Are you keeping a journal of her words so far? Those are the best. Actually my mom put a box together when I was younger of things and she put it up in my closet one day and told me I wasn't allowed to open it until I was 18. It drove me crazy for about a minute then being a kid I eventually forgot about it and when I finally did remember it 18 had come and gone. But what was in it was the calendar she kept of my first year and all the things she had on it like dr apts and first this or first that. Another thing was a journal of my first words and sentences. Just fun things like that that were so fun to look through when I was old enough to understand the importance of them. As for guessing the sex of your new bun thats a hard one, you are 50/50 now aren't you? Hummmmm..I'd say Girl!
Also don't even worry about my name, I go by both. Its pretty 50/50 between all the people I know who calls me what, Its usually just their personal preference. Kyle calls me Laura. Laura Mae comes out when hes being super special or something like that.

Elizabeth nooo!! Hicks are the worst I've been told. Stop that! Yes rest lots and lots!

Oh no Bethany! Now is the time where you get to focus on you though!! When you are going through hell just keep going!

Steph me too!!!! My favorites. I saw their last concert in CA before they ended their career. So good.

Laura Mae: Former dancer here too. My joints (knees and hips) ache when it rains. I had a bit of Sciatica in my pregnancy, but a bulging disk hurts much more. Hopefully rest will help you. Bad backs run in my family, my mom has had 5 back surgeries. I hope that yours can heal without surgical intervention.

We have to take down Christmas before Ry will let me scrap.

Has anyone noticed something funky with the thread lately (last month's, too)? It will show on the GS page that the last reply was, say, at 3:30pm but when you click, the last one showing was at 11:00am. And then what I've noticed is if I post a reply, that missing post will magically appear

Just happened with Rachel's post - it showed nothing until I posted! Wonder what's with that...

Anyway, my tooth is hurting today & the dentist can't get me in until Tuesday, so looks like I will be dealing with the pain for the next few days. I decided that I still want to get out & do something. And hopefully that will help take my mind off the pain! One of my stops is definitely going to be M's... possibly J's and/or Archivers, too. Yippee!

I'll be back later to scrap, hopefully.

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. I made it through last night and I feel much better today.

It's not the pregnancy that is making me so sick. I started getting real bad migraines after Lilo was born and now they are crazy and since I am not allowed to take certain meds I suffer, but finally got the right meds so it's helping some and the weather here in Oklahoma is crazy. One day it's 70 and burning up and the next it is 20 and I go out with a thin coat not knowing. Morning sickness has long passed thank goodness because with all my pregnancies they whopped my butt for a while.

Looks the weather is starting to warm up, but I am not going to chance getting out there yet until I am sure it won't change.

Hoping to do a little scrapbooking next week and just not sure what project I want to work on. I also want to do a little knitting before my lil' man gets here. Hoping I can get to both.

Step: glad to see you around. I was just thinking yesterday how we haven't heard much from you in February. Hope all is well.

Monica: sorry your tooth is hurting. I feel your pain because mine started acting up yesterday. Hopefully you can make it through the weekend and get in to a doctors office to fix the problem. And hopefully it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Laura: wow! I am so sry to hear about your back. I have really bad back pain, but I couldn't imagine what you are going through girl. Please try to be more careful with the basement stairs and hopefully getting an x-ray and some more opinions can get you on the right track to feeling better.

Laura Mae: Yikes girl! Sorry to hear about your tumble down the stairs. Please, please, please ask the orthopedic doctor about any alternatives to surgery that can help your back pain. I work at a pain management center and the majority of our patients have back injuries. Do anything and everything to avoid surgery. In most cases it ends up causing more pain and problems than fixing anything. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask me here or peamail if you prefer. I have learned a ton about back injuries, and can always ask our doctor and PT if I don't know an answer. Also, if you don't mind my asking, what muscle relaxer did you take before? I may know of some other ones you can ask the doctor about.

Laura Mae- yikes girl. You might want to get some hand rails and some help with the groceries. Or take more trips.

Monica-I would get on the chat but everything electronic is seeming to repel me. My computer cord won't stay plugged in and the battery is on the out. My iPhone battery won't stay charged either I was planning last night to watch a round of glitter girl videos and it was all fine and dandy then it started the mess of not staying plugged in. I think I accidentally stepped on the cord when it was plugged in and ruined the prong. I can't afford a new one and I can't get the old stuff off bc none of the USB ports work. The Ex was at least going to back up everything but It keep getting put off or I would forget to bring my laptop over. guess when it dies I'll just be without.

My saying right now is when it rains it pours. I'm walking bad luck.

I was going to scrap tonight but my desk is a mess and I don't feel like cleaning it off. And I want to play with new stuff but I have a stack of unfinished layouts. So I feel bad for starting a new project when the old one isn't done. Does anybody else have unfinished stuff or is just me that has to finish it before I walk away?

Hi all- I have still been recuperating from the whiplash and back strain from our car accident on Feb 12th. I haven't started with the Chiropractor or PT yet.
Good news, though, we got our new car. The insurance check came quickly. We wanted a new car. the one that got totaled was a 2010, so it depreciated quite a bit.
have a nice rest of the weekend!

Hi all . I'm new to this thread so I'll introduce myself quickly. I'm Becca and I turned 24 last month. I live in New Zealand, but love travelling and have been to California 3 times (my Dad is a Disneyland addict, and I think it's genetic!), most recently last June.

I started scrapbooking in 2006 (the last time I went to Disneyland!) but it's only been the last year or so that I've really gotten into it and seen all the fancy products and discovered 2Peas.

I'm a teacher, and that keeps me busy a lot of the time. I'm considering delving into the world of mini-albums, although it looks like it could be an expensive hobby! We're starting to save for a house so I'm trying to cut back on my spending unfortunately. I just put in a big order a couple of weeks ago so that's my last for a long time (particularly since it cost me $53 shipping for an $80 order ). I got married in 2010 and have just started scrapbooking that, so that should keep me busy for awhile anyway!

Anyway that's enough about me, I'll have a read of the challenges and give them a go, and looking forward to meeting you lovely ladies!

I had a girls day out with my cousins today. It was fun, but I'm exhausted! I'll catch up tomorrow.

Welcome Becca! I'm Elizabeth, 28, married 6.5 years, 2 daughters ages 5 and 2, and I'm expecting #3 baby boy in July.

I am super tired and still fighting this sinus infection. I am feeling a little bit better and made it through the weekend without any problem. I am hoping to finish up a mini album this week I've been working on for a while and once completed I am hoping to start a paper phenomon mini album for the summer. Really looking forward to making that album so I guess I should get started on my housework so I can rest and have some crafting time.

Hope everyone is off to a great week.

Monica, can you believe I (kind of) complained about your kit? I will finish up my 3rd LO using it today! UGh! How awful you couldn't get to the dentist sooner! Yep your right, the thread is acting up.

Laura, Yikes! Take care of yourself! I hate having to spend money going to the Dr. but your health is worth it.

Rachel, LOL, I still have a few Christmas things up. I call them "winter" things, so they are staying well, maybe I'll take them down this week.

Hi Becca! Welcome I'm Loni, mom of almost 5, married to my sweet (cranky this week) Husband for eh, who cares how long. (He makes fun of me cuz I can never remember.) B has a big test this week to add a specialization to his degree. I'm remembering what finals week used to be like when he was in school, haha. I also remember how we celebrated when they were all over! So, I'm looking forward to that.

Elizabeth, I sound like a broken record, probably. GET BETTER!!! I'm loving your pins, btw! and I can't WAIT to tell you what I'm having tomorrow. Hopefully a girl so our kids can get married.

I was supposed to be getting in the shower instead of pea-ing but oops, got distracted and now it's too late! My nephew just showed up. Guess, I'll go clean some more. (I let it pile up so bad over the weekend!)

Happy Monday!

Loni: lol at you. I can tell I am getting a little better because finally the green mucus is flowing out and getting clear. Yah! Lol sry TMI but you asked for it. The weather is getting better too so hopefully that will help, but hopefully I don't get a bad case of allergies. Ugh. Lol well if you have a boy they could be best buddies. Wouldn't that be funny if we delivered on the same day or within days of each other. I would love for us to meet up one day. I know we would get along. I am addicted to pinning when I am sick and can't rest. Lol. I always find myself checking it out to make sure I find new crafts and such.

Well kids are fed and it's almost nap time so I am going to attempt to clean my room up (tissue explosion just from last night) and get some rest. I am out of adhesive so hoping to make a dash to Michaels later after dinner and attempt to finish my mini finally this week. That would make my day.

Monica: were you able to get into the dentist? Hopefully so and if not I hope your tooth isn't causing much pain.

Welcome Becca! I'm Christina, 19, from Canada, currently studying science in University.

Thanks for all the support ladies! without you all, I don't think I would have submitted anything.

Laura, That sounds so painful, hopefully you get better soon! Back pain is horrible stuff.

Elizabeth, you get better too! I'm also a pinterest addict, *raises hand sheepishly because she has 3500 pins* I don't know if I'm following you yet! I neeed to check!

Loni, so funny about the kit complaining, and now look at you go! That's awesome that you got so many LOs with it already!

Bethany, hugs and hugs and more hugs from me, hopefully your luck changes soon, sounds like you could use a vacation from everything!

Christina: I started following you. right now I am trying to make a new Pinterest inspired meal every week and so far so good. I made the garlic brown sugar chicken which my hubby loves and next week I am making the sausage, potatoes, and onions meal. It's been fun. With spring here I am hoping to try more desserts.

hey girls! Quick check-in... I feel yucky today. I'm not sure if it is sinuses, if I'm coming down with something, or both. I've just been dragging today though.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the dentist. And beforehand I'm meeting my friend to go to a LSS closing sale. Everything is 75% off, so hoping to find some great deals!

I haven't felt like scrapping for a few days. And I doubt I will after I get this tooth pulled tomorrow... but hopefully I will feel more like chatting! I'm determined to keep up this month.

Loni- wow, girl, 3 layouts already?! haha, and here you were complaining about the kit being hard to put together

Elizabeth- Hope you're feeling better! What is a paper phenomenon mini album?! Sounds fun!

Christina- Wow, you have 3500 pins on Pinterest?! I need to go check to see how many I have now... LOL. Speaking of, I keep getting a TON of emails the last 2 days saying "so-and-so is now following your board" for my scrappy Pinterest board... Makes me wonder if it got posted online somewhere or something?? It's weird.

Yes, Monica, but I haven't had the time to finish the one or do any more since Saturday. I'm really not wanting to do anything this morning so perhaps I'll scrap, haha. Why did I set up my apt for the afternoon!? I just want to go now! Let us know how YOUR apt goes.

Elizabeth, that's a great goal. I love pinning recipes for my husband to try.

Like I said, NO motivation for me this morning. I'm anxious about my Dr.'s apt, so having a hard time focusing on my housework. Actually, I went to a Parent-Teacher conference yesterday so had a stack of papers to add to DS's Kindergarten album. Did that at the bathroom sink while I was keeping an eye on Little G in the tub.

So there you go. Can't say I did nothing this morning.

Aww Loni why did you set up an afternoon appointment. Hope it goes well. I am sure whatever the gender you'll be happy. I look forward to checking in later to see the news.

My doctors appointment went well and it's funny that 2 years later and I am still the example they tell their other patients about when they say "won't I know when I am in labor?" you would think. I could tell my Dr. Was a little worried when I told her about my weekend, but relieved my discomfort has passed. Just have to rest more and take it easy. I also got some meds for my sinus infection so hoping to be better next week.

Was playing with Lightroom last night trying to get pictures ready for my mini album and although it's quick I still find it a little time consuming when you have about 150 pictures to go through. I am going to try to finish while kids rest.

Elizabeth, I'm glad your appointment went well and you got some meds for that sinus cold! I know! My sister didn't know either, LOL. Well, she knew she just didn't know if she should go to the hospital yet. I set it up so B could come. Actually I think some of my stress was from church responsibilities. After making some phone calls I feel better and I got some cleaning done. Now I will shower and get ready to go!

I am so sad!!!!!!! My favorite LSS, "The Scrapbook Page" is going out of business. It was a shocker!!!! I was just in there Saturday and there was no indication that this was going to happen. Saturday evening I received an email from them indicating they were closing their doors and would have a big sale on Tuesday (today). I love giving my business to the "Mom & Pop" type stores because they usually get product for those of us who request it. So today I went there. They had some stuff for 75% off, but not a whole lot. Most of their merchandise was 20% off so I really can't complain. I am really going to miss them. We do have the big box stores in the area--Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Joann's, and Archivers. But it isn't the same because they usually have limited product. We have a few more tiny LSS---Scrapbook Unique, Stamper's Ink, and Paper Ink Rubber in the area. But none of them compare to The Scrapbook Page. Boo hoo! I am going to miss them! The owners are really sweet! Anyway, hope all of you are having a great day! I know several people are experiencing snow and cold, but just think! Spring isn't too far off now! Aren't you excited about that? I am spring cleaning my craft room now and purging it. I am going to put the stuff I purge into a "used stamp sale" one of the tiny LSS will be having in April. It is really like a garage sale the owner pulls together of her patrons who want to get rid of some of their "old" stuff. Lots of times I find treasures in these sales so I can't wait!

Quick stop by.

Monica the challenges sound cool. Hopefully I'll be able to partake in them when I return home on the 14th.

Just wanted to ask if 2ps did Cha videos this year? Don't see them.... And since I was away I didn't see anything new.

Posted some LOs today!

Obsession

This one was for Monica's challenge. I used a lego to stamp polka dots! OH, and I think it looks like a LO from Rachel, haha. I was feeling frustrated that it didn't look like "ME" but when I realized who it did look like, I felt all better. LOL.

Gem

A quick little 8x8 of Gem.

Sisters

And I had to finish this one this morning before I could concentrate on anything else, LOL. It was bugging me that I hadn't touched it since Saturday! This is going to my favorites list.

My neurotic-ism is really showing in this post.

HEY! I'm having a boy! I feel like I shouldn't wear pink anymore.

Thanks for the challenges Mon! As you can see I'm having so much fun with this month's kit and challenges!

Loni: I completely understand about the pink, but I love wearing it so what the heck. I want to buy more blue summer items, but costly and I always seem to find it hard shopping for maternity clothes. Hoping to find at least 2 cute blue shirts that will grow with my growing belly. Very nice layouts. Love the layering you did. I always try to layer, but somehow I end up making it flat. I totally love that look since watching a lot of Mercy Tiara YouTube videos. Have you already got an idea for your new sons baby album? I bought the PL baby kit and love it (should have purchased the digital for future kids) and I also purchased her old sweet baby kit and that's an awesome kit that comes with everything.

Melissa: you will be joining the chats more. Can't wait to hear to hear about your trip and see what projects you create. Really looking forward to you using the BoBunny Detour collection (if you are using that for this trip).

Working on making a mini (not that mini) album using a Kathy Orta tutorial and loving it so far even though all I have done is a few base pages. I am hoping to finish up in 2 weeks, but we'll see. Need a corner rounder punch and mine broke. I am thinking of buying a few of her other tutorials when my money situation gets better. I'll be sure to post a picture or video.

I'm so mad at myself! I spilled water on my laptop tonight. The actual computer seems okay, but my keyboard is all messed up I got some tips from other people about leaving it upside down and not messing with it for a couple of days... let it dry out. I sure hope it works!

I'm borrowing my mom's laptop right now, but if I'm not around for a couple of days, that's why!

Hey girlies. I've been a crazy worker lately. So many jobs so little time. Plus my parents come out this weekend and will be staying with me for the week so I need to get ready for them! I haven't seen them since last september so its been a while. Also we just got mounds of snow, which my Californian parents will not be prepared for!
Another update, Kyle and I are planning a trip to Japan in July!! He used to be stationed over there for 3 years so he knows the area really well and wants to go back.
Back update, Saw the Ortho dr this week and she said that with physical therapy and good care this thing will heal overtime which means no surgery thank goodness!!

Rach I was a Jazz dancer for 20 years. What about you? Bad backs run in our family too, my dad has a sciatic nerve issue right now. But I can't believe you haven't taken down Christmas thats awesome!! haha!

Elizabeth I had xrays done at the urgent care and that showed the disc issue. But it looks like things are going to get better slowly but surely. I've been taking it easy and been super careful lately. But the fall was kinda inevitable. If you saw our basement "stairs" you would understand why haha. They are far from up to code.

Steph thats awesome you are the person I need! I am doing everything to avoid surgery. I'm going to start PT soon, most likely after my parents leave. But I've dealt with this before just not to this extreme. I can't handle pain killers but the muscle relaxer they gave me last time I forget the name of it. It was 5 years ago. But the one they gave me this time is the same as valium.

Becca welcome! I was born and raised in CA!! What grade do you teach? I'm Laura Mae, also 24 and currently a graphic designer in NYC!

Loni, luckily insurance has covered me so far!! That means more scrap money!! Or I mean paying bills money i guess...hehe. But seriously I'm in love with your LOs I want to scraplift them all!! Now if only I had the time.. Lastly congrats on your baby BOY!!

Mon oh noooo!! thats terrible. Kyle dropped his computer a few weeks back and it damaged his HD and he lost everything. The sad part is that they didnt give him his old HD back. If they did that he knew someone who could have recovered everything for him. But yes let it dry out. I wonder if putting it in rice like iPhones would help? haha that would be a huge bucket of rice!

Christina you have to show us once its published I cant wait!!

I'm trying the rice trick today. I really really really hope it works. I tried to turn it on last night and all I got was a black "Toshiba" screen and high-pitched beeping noise. That can't be good

Laura: that's good news about not having to go through surgery and I hope your visit with your parents is fun.

Monica: sucks about the laptop.

Have so many chores to complete and I am finding it hard to find time to scrapbook. Still trying to get over this sickness which tomorrow is my last day on meds so hoping next week I can get out and go to the zoo. I am going to get going on sme cleaning. Have a good weekend ladies!
