No, it's not worth it... you should by all the products seperatly at 2 peas only. Or spend, like a million dollars to buy it from the FSOT board at 2 peas only.

And, please refrain from posting these types of questions in the future, because they get us in trouble.

I didnt realize such a simple question could get me into trouble... guess Ill have to just ask questions on scrapbooking supplies somewhere else.
Thanks for the heads up.

It depends on the way you scrapbook and buy supplies.

I subbed for 9 months (canceled just before the current kit) For the first few months for me it was great. I buy tons of paper, but embellishments were tough for me since I wasn't sure how I'd use a $5 pack of something.

You're not getting an amazing deal $ wise, but the stamps are normally great and the products are new. These two things were very important to me as well.

So if you prefer to buy every piece of a collection then SC isn't for you. If you like to have stuff that all coordinates and is new then it is.

I would get the main kit and 2 add ons each month and could get 10-15 layouts each month. + have some pieces left over.

I sub and get the main and the PL kit.

I like the different PL cards we get each month. I didn't like the BH system where you use the same old same old all the way through. The SC kit allows for for more creativity.

The only hype is re the add ons at reveal......if you can get over the fact that you may or may not be able to get an add on, then that's fine......if you feel you HAVE to have the addons available to you every month, and the thought you MAY miss out....and it's going to affect your stress levels then it might not be right for you.

Personally, I signed up for just those two kits....if I get the addons it's a nice bonus.

....and as we have seen....there is a market for any of the SC stuff that you may not want to use......
The stamps are awesome.....

So....yes....I think it's worth it.

Well, I'm gonna keep on keepin' on like I've always done, trying my best not to violate their TOU.

BUT...if I all of a sudden disappear, it'll mean I've broken the rules and have had my Pea membership revoked.

I really had no idea this question was gonna genertate all these rules and getting into "trouble" So with that being said if I have upset anyone or did something wrong, someone let me know and I'll attempt to figure out how to deleat these posts.

I'm sorry...kind of kidding around here without explaining.

2Peas has kicked up their enforcement of their TOU (which I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that). But, there's some confusion on what is okay/not okay to post. And as for getting in trouble, if 2Peas thinks a thread violates their TOU, they'll just delete it, no biggie.

And Studio Calico has always confused me as far as their TOU goes. I mean they sell SC products, but they don't sell any type of "kit," and the SC kits do have some exclusive items...so, you can understand where some of the confusion is coming from.

As to your original question--I joined the kit club and quit after about 7 months.

So if you prefer to buy every piece of a collection then SC isn't for you. If you like to have stuff that all coordinates and is new then it is.

I think that sums it up perfectly. It's really going to depend on what you want.

I recently subbed to the main kit and quite like it. I have a hard time coordinating and stick to a few lines I like so it is fun to get paper I might not have even seen otherwise. I have enjoyed a few exclusives and have been stretched to use embellishments I have never purchased otherwise. I also have been fortunate to get my favorite add on each month so I guess it is easy for me to say

As for PL, I do mine very simply at the moment and I don't want to pay for a lot of filler cards in different color schemes. If you want a big variety of ready made cards, it might work great! Be sure to look at their gallery and the past kits to get a good idea of what is included. Also know it might be several months before you actually get a kit.

I like the PL kits, generally. I used almost all of the January kit, but I was on the ball for February and had the first two weeks completed and most of the 3rd week laid out before I even got the kit in the mail (I got my shipping notification around the 8th and got the kit around the 16th.) I liked most of the kit, but I didn't need a lot of the themed/holiday cards by that point, so I actually ended up selling it (minus the stamps) and the March kit (which is pretty but not really colors/patterns I would use) on FSOT. I think, for me, not getting the cards until mid-month is one downfall of the kit.

Hopefully I'll like April's cards better than March, because I while it was nice to be able to sell kits I can't use, it's not why I signed up.

I got one kit once from the waiting list after the subscribers got theirs. I had fallen victim to the hype too and watched it for months before finally getting it. I decided not to join. I didn't think it was worth it.
