I am trying to purchase items that are made in America whenever possible. I would love a list of companies that manufacture in the US. Without looking at the actual item in my hand, how do I see where it is made?? I looked at the store here on 2Ps and saw stamps by Lawn Fawn, so I looked at their website and see at the bottom that it says made in America so I would assume that ALL of their products are made here. MME doesn't say that on their site and while I think their paper is made here, I don't think their washi tape is (much to my disappointment). Does anyone have a list of companies are US based?? Thanks!

Anything that is sold in the Big Box stores (DCWV comes to mind), or made by American Crafts is not made in America. That is off the top of my head from doing my own personal research on the subject. I only looked into paper not embellishments, ink, or anything else.
I made my list by looking at what I already owned and by looking online.
MME was one I could never really figure out.

Authentique papers are made in the USA. Technique Tuesday, Hero Arts and some of TC stamps are made in the US. I just saw that Echo Park papers are made here as well. All the paper, embellies and buttons I have from MME are made in China....That makes me sad because they are my favorite SB company!! |

I think most washi tape is made in Asia because it is an asian product. At least, that's where I first saw it some years ago, long before it was popular in America and for scrapbooking. I'd be surprised if washi tape was made in America.
