I got my Evolution, Genius Platform, and a handful of dies today. I've been using a cuttlebug for some of the dies I had waiting for my big machine to come in.
I got the High Rise alphabet, which is on a 4x4 Revolution die. I can't gee it to cut. I've added a shim, an extra piece of cardstock, tired both platforms, and the cuttlebug.

Am I doing something wrong, missing something, or could my die be defective? I've had trouble with a couple other dies, but nothing close to this bad.

Thanks for any help.

I don't have the Evolution, but I'll try to walk you through it.

Is it cutting anything on the die? Or is the paper coming out uncut in any way? Have you tried any other dies?

I suspect that you are using the platform for embossing, not cutting. It's a bit thinner to accommodate the thicker embossing folders.

The sandwich should be the platform/die cutting side up/paper cut side down/cutting mat.

Good luck!

It's making an impression, but no cutting. I'm using the sandwhich on the guide it says for cutting their dies. Platform + A. I also tried it in my Cuttlebug which I've been using for awhile A+C+die+B. And nothing from that either.

I have over 100 fonts, but not that one. So I can't try it. I googled the problem, but didn't come up with anything. Have you tried any other dies? Maybe check out a YouTube video to make sure you aren't missing anything. Then call Lifestyle Crafts in the morning.

Are you cutting thick cardstock or paper? I have one or two dies that just don't cut cardstock, only paper works.

Sometimes, I have found that I have to put a sheet of rather thick cardstock underneath some of my dies to get a solid cut.
Also, with the Cuttlebug, if it is a die that has a lot of problems, then I will reverse it back through the rollers to get a second cut.

Good luck?

I cut even the thinnest QK alphas with CS. Even felt. It's either the sandwich or the die. OP, can you take a photo? Maybe that will give us some more info.

Rolling the die through again or turning it diagonally can help, but if nothing is cutting something is wrong.
