Would Project Life be good for someone who struggles in making layouts?? (thinking of my mom)

I was wondering, my mom loves to scrapbook with me but she gets frustrated easily if she isn't coming up with something. (she is 73). I am wondering with the PL kit, maybe this would make it a little easier for her to slide some pictures in and then just do a little embellishing instead of a whole 12x12 layout?

If you don't mean PL in the "traditional" sense where they make one set of layouts per wk!

However, I have a friend who ADORES the Simple Stories lines along with divided page protectors because she can mix/match backgrounds along with her choice of photos. She can embellish if she wants to, but again each "canvas layout" is smaller than the huge 12x12. Plus, she loves that she can scrap a few photos of an event and then just slide in extra photos into 4x6 protectors without needed to "scrap them".

My friend has been scrapbooking for many yrs, but in recent yrs adopted 2 older children so it's more important to her that she get scrapbooks created for their adopted children similar to what their bio children have already. She's finding this a fast way to do it, yet if she still wants to create a 12x12 page - she can!

I think you may be on to something good for your Mom here!

I think she would definitely appreciate the easiness of PL. It's very simple and straightforward without all the hassle

I think she would find PL to be very simple. But if she finds it too simple she can add stickers, thickers, tabs, tags or anything else she would like to.

It does sound good for my mom (heck myself)...what got me when I first started hearing about this it turned me off because all I heard was about taking pictures everyday, and so forth.. I thought, well that isn't for me, I am lucky to remember to take pictures 1/2 the time. But now thinking more about it... I can just use that style how I want.

My mom and I are going on a retreat in the middle of April and she wants just to scrap Easter stuff (it's a family tradition to go to my aunts) so she has tons of just Easter pictures. I am thinking this might be a good way to incorporate all Easter into one album....

I think it would be a great idea! I started out with PL in 2009, using it with a daily picture. Then, I transitioned into monthly layouts. I still use this method for current scrapping...it captures the everyday, holidays, events, etc.

However, I am also using it to catch up on the older pictures. For this, it isn't about the everyday. I use the core kit and divided page protectors much more like "traditional" scrapping. The beauty is that I can just slip in the pictures and journaling...easy and quick! Plus, I can also add embellishing if I want.
