I picked up some "$1" rubber stamps At Ms the other day. They are assorted jars with candy inside them. I swear I read somewhere about folks altering the stamp by cutting out the inside. Now I can't find the details.

What would work best? A hot exacto knife? A regular knife?
Any input is appreciated!

I used a tiny pair of scissors to cut "this crazy life" into individual words. I use them all the time now.

Peas are great! I got a link from the stamping board to this video:
Altering stamps

Those are the exact ones I wanted to try.

Yes. with a very sharp, fine-tiped knife.

I have also cut words apart.

I have used very sharp, fine detail scissors to alter a few stamps, but I'm better with scissors than an Exacto knife. However, if I wanted to separate parts that are too close together, an Exacto knife might be better.
