So, DC and suburban Maryland aren't really known as scrapping hotspots. Almost every "local" crop I've found is at least an hour away and many are far enough away to require a hotel stay which adds money to the crop registration fee that I'm already paying. Today I stumbled across a crop that is literally 10 minutes from my house and is to benefit one of the local high school sports teams. How awesome is that ? I can crop, get home in time for dinner (it's only 8 hours), and benefit a school. I'm so excited! I haven't been to a crop in over 18 months. Whee!

Susan, it's in Hyattsville, MD at DeMatha Catholic High School. Are you in MD?

Good for you! I have the same problem. My favorite LSS doesn't do crops, and most of the ones around here that do are on Fridays, and it seems DH and I are always doing something on Fridays. Plus the second-closest LSS to me is 45 minutes away, the rest more than an hour.

But I'm excited to be doing some cropping with church friends this coming Thursday. I didn't even know any of them scrapbooked, but they're in a women's Bible study with me, and a crop is what our leader wants to do this week. So yay!

I could go to a crop on Friday too, because DH and I will be traveling to an area near at least two of the other scrapbook stores. But the crops will end before DH's class does Friday night. So, I'm going to "crop" by myself at Starbucks instead of making him leave class early to get me. At least I will get lots of scrapbooking done Friday, and maybe Thursday, depending on how much socializing we do instead.

Fiddler -- I am in Germantown!! When is the crop? I'm always open for a crop if I can make it.

Susan.

Are you on Facebook? If so, search or Maryland Scrapbooking Divas. They have crops listed on their page.

There is one in Clarksburg, April 20th, to benefit a 4H Club.

I don't know where Clarksburg is. Figured it was somewhere east, as they tend to be.

Clarksburg is just north of Germantown off 270, on your way to Frederick, MD, if you're local to the DC suburbs. Actually, very close to me!!!

Susan.

Thanks, Susan!

I got to thinking about my post and how dense the east remark was coming from me. Everything in MD is east for me. LOL!

Susan, the one in Hyattsville is April 28th. There's also one at Holy Cross Hospital (Silver Spring) on April 27 & 28. Definitely check out MD Scrapbook Divas. I've seen them list crops in Damascus and Rockville, which are probably closer to you. I haven't been to Germantown since my grandma moved, but spent a lot of time up there over the years.
