Here's the story. I taught at Michaels and there was a Smash class where they took the binding ring out and added other stuff in and then put the coil back in. So I stupidly did not look at those directions that I still have but just went for it and pulled the binding coil out and now it is a hot mess!!!

I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to just use a Bind-it-All type ring and put a new one in and then maybe just paste into the cover?

Has anyone done another type of binding in a Smash book (from K&Co. - the brand name Smash book) or had any experience taking the coil out?

The reason I did it is because this is a baby version and I was thinking it would be cute to put pictures of me as a baby on the same page as my daughter's pic after I run the page through my printer with a ton of journaling. I always run everything through my printer. I got this one cheap so I thought I would experiment. Ooops!

I have taken the coils out of all my smash books because I wanted to print on some pages and add pages. Just thread it back very carefully, the same as you would any spiral journal. I find it easier to open the coils up to almost flat, start from the back of the pages and thread through to the front, then poke the last bit through the paper bit joined to the smash book. It takes a bit of patience but you can do it!
good luck!
