Baby Pea Step

I have been very interested in starting project life. I have been watching videos on YouTube. However I am not sure if doing the weekly thing is for me. I was wondering if anyone did project life without doing it week by week. I would like to see project and videos like this if anyone has suggestions. Thanks

There are lots of people who do not use PL for weekly purposes (I use it for a picture a day so I do use it for weekly).
Here are some non-weekly ideas
Glad you are considering using PL - I really enjoy it.

I just use the divided protectors and journaling cards to scrap my photos quicker. Becky Higgins has all sorts of examples of various uses for PL kits/albums on her blog.

I tend to do 1-2 weeks on a single page. I don't want more than 1 binder for a year.

I do it about once a quarter and it works great.

I'm doing it once a month. That's just right for me. During the month, I take notes about what I want to journal, and I do try to take photos of things that catch my attention. The great part is that I don't have to search for something to take a photo of, I usually can very easily get 8+ photos during a month. I usually dedicate at least one slot to a book I read, or a movie that stuck with me. March will be more than a 2-page spread because of spring break and we had more happening.
I also saw a Youtube video of someone that just does it as it comes, with no set spread for a week or a month. There is no wrong way, just do what fits your style.

I did it in 2009/2010 when it was a CK Kit called Project 365. I stuck mostly to a photo a day (because that's what I thought you *had* to do!) but for some bigger events I devoted a whole divided page or even a 2 page spread.
Now I'm just doing a monthly layout - plus a few more divided pages for things that have good photos or important memories. I want the book to be our "highlight reel." It's a good way for me to get some of the photos off my computer and out into the world.
|Posted: 4/14/2013 9:31:53 PM|I don't really understand the weekly thing. I do Project Life like any other Scrapbook. I do yearly books and just chronologically scrap my pictures. Maybe that is weekly? I don't know. It is the only way I have ever scrapbooked. I just take pictures of our life and scrap it.

I do it as I feel inclined. Some months just have a two page spread... others more depending on what events we attended and how good my pictures are!!!

I only have 2 pages/"LOs" posted, but here they are:

Check Mercy Tiara's videos on You Tube. She was doing PL weekly but this year it's just when she has time and enough stories to do a page. She just posted a new PL video this past weekend.

Project Life is using the product to simplify your scrapbooking.
Project 365/52 is documenting each day/week with a photo or layout.
Which are you interested in doing?

I do monthly layouts and it works so much better for me. There is so little that actually happens in my day-to-day life that weekly just is not for me.
Monthly is great.
The thing about PL is that the whole concept is weekly, or photo a day or whatever. But it is not limited to that. You can use the photo pocket pages to do general scrapping, or just a vacation, or whatever. For me, the photo pocket pages have just simplified everything for me.

I started doing PL which for me is more accurately called Project Whenever. I just want to get photos oo my phone/camera, and into an album. For the time being, I don't have the time to do traditional scrapbooking, and PL has been a godsend fot me. I have neither a process nor a plan. I may do that later on but I'm happy for now.

I am doing what I call "Project Event". I only see my granddaughters every few weeks or so. I decided I want to document our time together. I take pics each time I see them and scrap that event. It is neat to see how fast they are growing up in their albums.
I would love to go back to their birth while they are young and capture from the beginning, but haven't done that yet. I only have some of last year and this year done.
I really want them to have something special from their grandma to have to remember me by and to show their children someday.

This is what I'm doing too. I'm using a Studio Calico Handbook because I wanted to start off with a smaller size and see how I like it. I don't have a set number of pictures or spreads for each month, just whatever pictures and stories I want to record. Some months will end up with 1 double page spread while other months may have 4, which is fine for me.
