Good afternoon,

how is everyone today? Sorry for posting little late but my morning got away from me... I just love the quote above...Today is a new day! I thought it was perfect for our group as we struggle each day in anything that give us a hard time. I try to remember this when i go to bed, and review what my day is like.. sometime good things and sometime bad things.. but I don't dwell on the bad, just focus on good and realize that in morning it is a brand new day to do whatever I want..

I'm still struggling in drinking more water, but I no longer desire for soda. so that is good.. I'm still working on reducing coffee. I did switch to half n half to cut down on caffeine more... I'm still working on the exercise part--for some reason I'm finding difficult to incorporate in--just for me.. I did schedule fun activities for kids outside. I also made a shopping list to buy few things for outside...

I also finish my niece's album:

it is on my blog to see more .. http://michelesscrapycreations.blogspot.com/2013/04/pink-zebra-album.html

well, i need to go as kids want to go outside to play and can't wait anymore.. I will be working on my flower bed. lol

Hi there, Michele! Working in your flower bed is a good way to get some activity in! How old are your little ones now? It's been a long time since we "talked".

My goal this week is to walk for 20 minutes at least 4 times. That is not where I want to end up, but it's a good start. Today, the kids and I went and walked a mile at the park (on the track). I was worried about my 4yo daughter keeping up, but she ran most of the way! She was having a blast! My 9yo son said we should have a mileage club, so I'm going to make a chart where we each get a sticker each time we do a mile. After 5 miles, we'll get some kind of little prize. They need to get more activity, and so do I. So this might just work!

Michele, great job on the album! I walked briskly for a half hour today. After massive shin splints I went to Sports Authority to get sized. My feet are almost flat and I had no idea. I tried new sneakers and they feel so good! I rarely wear sneakers because they aren't comfortable to me. I've probably been wearing the wrong kind all this time.I'm excited to go out and run tomorrow.

I drank lots of water today and had a veggie dog and brown rice chips for dinner. Okay, and a piece of chocolate. Baby steps!

Jan, good for you! Keep up the good work!

Good morning,

Jan--- so good to see you! oh, my god we were out there for four hours... kids had a blast playing and helping me dig... dd is 4, ds is 2 ( will be 3 in Aug) and my little ds is 15 months... I was so sore and tire... slept so good lol In fact, my dd was ready to go out at 730 this morning. lol but i told her it way too early to go out and wake the neighbors up.. I'm not sure if we will be outside today because it look little dark out and may rain... Great job on walking and involving the kids.. that what i'm trying to do with my kids especially my dd.. she is little chunky but i love her just the way she is i just hate when doctor will comment about her weight.. so i am trying to get more active for both of us by going outside and move more..

Staci--sorry to hear about the pain you were experiencing... at least you figure out it was shoes.. My preference is New balance--best thing for my feets... I did get new shoes for my daughter bc she was complaining her feet hurts.. so far it is going ok... she haven't complain about her feet yet.

I'm still working on the binder.. just here and there when kids let me lol but i hoping to finish it by end of this week.. and start using it next week.

I am also trying to clean and organize my scraproom again.. complete mess from the last two projects i did i need to take a break and clean up put away and i start packing few things up so i can move all stuffs out of small room as in june we'll be working on that room to redo the wall (water damage from last rainstorm we had) and insurance wouldn't cover it.. they cover the roof but not the inside damage.. I will never understand it... , install new window, and rip up carpet putting new flooring then have to decide if it will be my scraproom or dd's room as she want it to be her room lol no clue why she want the small room but if she insist on it then it will be her..

if we finish this in june, then we will be working on boys' room...also need new window, insulation, etc etc. all that good fun.. my goals is to finish these two room before winter.. i am hoping to do the third room which will be my scrap room as well if not it can be next year.. I also including these big projects in my binder so i know what need to be done and how much will be need.. this is my goal for next month to figure out the cost and how much we will need in june..

so much to do lol--I really trying to focus on one thing at a time... well I guess i better get going and do some cleaning, laundry, and stuff .. before going outside if it doesn't rain.. chat with u guys later.

Welcome to the group, Deedee!

Michele, were you able to get your flower bed done? I have not got back to finishing mine. I have no idea what I did, but somehow managed to strain myself and haven't been able to be up and around much this week. Hopefully will feel better by next week. I really want to get it done. Glad you've been able to get so much done on your binder. Hoping to get some done on mine this weekend. So sorry to hear that you had damage from your last rainstorm.

Jan, I like your son's idea of the mileage club. What a fun way to exercise together!

Staci, that is awesome that you were able to get some comfortable shoes. I hadn't thought to go to a sports store to get fitted. I've had a terrible time finding comfortable sports shoes the last several years, so now I know what to do next time! Thank you!

Hello,

I still have to work on my flower bed yet.. still not done.. i ended up having poison ivy... ugh.. so I was miserable... but benadryl and lotion are helping... I was planning to go out and work on it but it is so cold and windy... brr.. my dd is pouting bc i won't let her go out... all three have sniffle and i don't want them to get more sick.

i did have stuffs i want to do but i'm being very lazy today.. benadryl making me so tire that i ended up napping with my littlest one.. lol so I'm just going to take easier and hopefully work on stuffs tomorrow..

Hi--I'm Janet, looking forward to joining this group! I haven't scrapped in quite a while because my little scrap space is a hot mess! I hope to spend some coming weekends organizing.

On the other front, I've been in a program where I journal food, watch fat grams and calories, and I've lost 10.5 pounds. It's still a day to day struggle, but I'm hanging in and making sure I plan and take plenty of healthy snacks daily. My goal is to finally start to use that gym membership that I've been paying for! Hopefully I'll get there once this week.

Love reading all of your posts--thanks ladies!
