I'm too scared to be one of the first ones to try it. Plus I figure their site is going to get hammered. I'll wait a wee bit and see what everyone else reports. But I know that this news is going to make ALOT of people happy.

This may be a good solution...IF it works! Like you, I'll wait until the dust settles!

What I want is to be able to UNlink the carts I linked before.

Any new information from someone who has done this successfully? The Cricut message board has had mixed reports, some with it working and some having problems with their Gypsy after doing the required update.

OK, I did it yesterday. I had to update the Cricut Sync software first, then update my Gypsy, then "link" the Gypsy to CCR (after having loaded CCR onto my computer.)
There were a few hiccups- the Gypsy seemed to hang up the first time I updated it, and I got a weird error message the first time I did the CCR linking. But in the end, all my carts were on both my Gypsy and CCR, I was able to cut with both, and there were a bunch of free bonus files too.

Yahoo! I had to re-install CCR first since my computer crashed. I can't get that installed. It sits in limbo for hours.
