I get it!! That is how I often feel. I am my worst enemy when I get a bunch of LO done then I think I should run to the store and buy more stuff.
I have more stuff to scrap with than one person could ever use in a lifetime.
My goal is to stay away from the stores other than adhesives which I have plenty of those for a while.
It is rewarding shopping and using stuff that I have already invested in.

Hopefully I can stick to that for a while.

LOVE that cartoon Wilna!! I'm a slow scrapper for sure...I just can't commit to cutting that first sheet of paper, or adhering that first embellishment!!! If I use a sketch, it helps a lot, but still will take a good 90 minutes to finish one 12X12. I've spent up to probably 5 hours on a layout...just staring at it, playing with it etc. Not 5 hours in a row - just keep coming back to it over a few days before I finally get sick of looking at it and just start sticking things down!!!

lol'd at that one, and I'm at work, so that can be a little... awkward

I'm not so much a slow scrapper, it's more finding the time to devote to it. Hopefully this weekend, but probably not

i used to be a slow scrapper and it would take me forever to complete the layout- but i gave up trying to be perfect and now i just have fun- sometimes a layout may take me an hour but others may take me a week. just depends on my mojo!

S...L...O...W! Too bad there is no turtle emoticon!!!! But, I've come to terms with it! I'm just a slow person in general (I can be speedy quick if I need to be but that's not usually how I operate!). Just the way God made me!!! I wonder why?!

I LOVE this cartoon for SO. MANY. REASONS.
But i think because it reminds me that scrapbooking is a celebration of life and how much or how little you do it, it's still celebrating life.

OMG! I'm slow but not that slow. Looks like washi on her page, too!? Maybe that's why it took her so long--she was just waiting for the perfect embellishment!

I'm a fast scrapper. When I'm slow it is because i am distracted and haven't gotten into my groove.

LOL!!! Wilna, somedays this feels like me...I have commitment issues when it comes to some of my pages, I really wish I could be faster, but in the end I suppose that's not what is important.

Thanks for the laugh, at least I am not that slow!!!

Well, my closet would certainly be in better shape if I were anywhere near that slow. But no, I have been scrapbooking for 12 years and therefore probably have more than 2,400 layouts done.

Speed can me my enemy sometimes. Because I often don't have speed... There are times I take days to do one double page layout. then there are times I can do a layout in a few minutes.

Happy scrapping

That's me!

I spend more time shopping for, Pinning, blog watching, cleaning, and reorganizing my craft stuff than I do making stuff with it... I'm someone who gets stuck when faced with too many choices... I'd be caught up and soooo happy with my scrapbooks if all I had were cheap, newsprint page notebooks and a glue stick... Give me options and I'll consider them all...

Maybe I should start having a drink or two next time I sit down to make something

This made me think of mercytiara's video, where she shows herself working at her normal pace (no speeding up of the video). She talks about how slow she is, and oh, my word, I've never seen anything like it! It's really hysterical. She does, however, get plenty of pages done. And they're all so beautiful, it does seem worth it.

I can get pages 90% done pretty quickly. It's that last 10% that drags on and on and on...

I like to say that I scrap at the speed of slug. At the few crops I've been to, people are amazed at how few pages I get done. However, I enjoy the process. So I am happy to have them finish their 25 pages while I put the finishing touches on 2... if I'm lucky.

I realized that I am super slow so I took my Saturday afternoon off and sat down and made 5 layouts! Feels great. Typically I'll make one layout and get distracted and go clean or grocery shopping.
