|Posted: 4/19/2013 5:33:13 AM|So I was a loyal Tombow user (and have scrapped 18 years.. used this one for a looooooong time), but once they changed to the blue "permanent" refill rolls, they lost me. I don't think they are as strong as they used to be and the day after I scrapped, everything popped up. I'm looking for a small one that is SUPER permanent like the big Scotch one I have, but smaller, hand-held size? TIA for your recommendations!

I like the 3L red runners and the Scotch dot rollers (supposed to be the same as the old Kokuyo). I used to use the Tombows but found that they didn't stick as well over the long run. Maria

Thermoweb is the best one I have ever used! It's a little spendier but totally worth it!

I love the Thermoweb Tape Runner XL, but I just took the ATG plunge because I can't find the XL refills at M's anymore! They're too expensive for me to buy online. They're still available at A's, though, so I would suggest trying one out if you can get your hands on it!

Have any of you had problems with the AC This-to-That dot runner failing? I have a few pages done with that where the photos are falling off.
When I run out of refills I think I'm going to try the Scotch dot runner. I miss my Kokuyo sooooo bad!

Huge fan of 3L EZ Runner. They are red, sorta triangular.
I first used a CM tape runner that was blue. When CM discontinued it, I searched for the next best thing. Well, these are 99 percent the same. Just the case is a different color.
The EZ Runner is not refillable. I like that, because I have horrible luck w the refills, no matter what kind!!
It's the only one I will use. Love it.

I like the 3L red EZ runner too. Picked up 4 on BOGO at Archiver's last week. Since I use my ATG for the "big" stuff, the four runners should last me for a while.
I also like the EZ Stick, which is like a refillable version of the EX Runner.
