How many stamps do you have?

I tried and hated the cd and DVd cases so I went with 3 ring notebook binders with page protectors then after I used it I hated it and found these enclosed case binders 2 sizes 7x9 and 9x11. I got the ones that are 1.5' thick.

Here is a blog where I found my solution, sorry I don't know how to link

Cost of heavy duty 3 ring binders and heavy page protectors that I didn't like, First I got the cheapo ones and had to replace with heavy duty total cost $125+. That is 5 cheapo binders that broke then replaced with heavy duty one. Bulky/heavy hated!!!

Cost of new system that includes 22 case view binders and the sheets $120. You may not need as many or you may need more.

I used the same system that Tracy did in her youtube video.

I love it and it makes it sooo much easier to see and use my stamps!

I also use Tracy's (MercyTiara's) system, and I LOVE it!

Just a hint if you go that route- transparencies at the office supply store are about $45 for a box of 100, but I found a box of 100 on Amazon for a little under $20. Just got them in and made the folders out of them this weekend, and they work great!

Don't shop...Adopt.

I am in the process of organizing mine. I used to have all mine on a CIU and I don't have the room for it anymore.

I bought a pad of 8 1/2x11 acetate sheets and cut them in half. Then I bought a box of 6x9 resealable baggies at the Office store.

I don't mind splitting my stamps up. I put all birthday stamps together and they go in 1 baggie, then beach, alphabets, flowers and so on. I can get quite a few stamps on each sheet. I MIGHT go back and stamp each image on s piece of cardstock and insert that. Most images I can make out. Some of the sentiments I will definitely have to do.

I don't want them in binders so I found a plastic bin that works perfectly. I will make tabs for the different themes. This way when I need a friend stamp I can just flip through my bin.

I still have alot to do but so far I think this will be the best way for me and it will save on space. I need to go back to the office store and get more baggies. They come in a box of 50 for about $7.00. It's their own brand.

You can find LOTS of ideas on YT. Good luck with your project.

Right now mine are in binders using the Martha Stewart page pockets. I like the MS pockets because they come in a nice variety.

BUT...I am thinking of converting into Jennifer McGuire's way of storing stamps:

I am also beginning to reorganize mine like Jennifer McGuire. I just got the Avery Elle clear storage pockets and they are really nice.

Thank you for all the great ideas! I do have a lot of stamps.. Clear and wooden. It will be a great time to purge as well..

It's going to be a big project, but it will be so worth it in the long run.

I have my clear stamps in clear sleeves from Avery Elle.
I store them in antique cheese boxes and keep them right on my desk.

Ditto on Tracy's method! Such a space saver and now the basket sits right by me as I scrap. I'm also very excited about my discovies as I was doing this. I have some great stamps that were unused because they were buried.

I also use a system like shown in Tracy's video, however, I use 1/2 the size plastic sheets because I cut the clamshell packaging from my Cricut carts and use that instead of transparencies. I keep them dust free in a plastic storage container.

For those who are looking to reorganize I would like to suggest you try it first with a few fav sets before you plunge into any system. Because I did not like pulling out the page protector or sleeve then pulling up the acetate sheet selecting stamp and then???? leave out the basket or large binder which ever you are using. Now I put the binder back and I have a scrubbie in a Tupperware square container with paper towel in bottom and after I clean I toss on paper towel and put away later.

It was not for me, I tried notebook binders, three diff types of sleeves and baskets, it just seemed cumbersome to me. Plus I had them by sets and finding what I wanted took too much time.

So, now sorted by category I pull my flower Universal Case Binder down, open latch and wha-la stamps are there at my finger tips. Sorting by category was so f r e e i n g. I should say certain word sets I kept together like some circles with girlie saying.

I kept the set images with name of stamp manufacturer and I am organizing them soon just in case I need the brand name

I store mine on transparencies inside 4x6 clear pockets (open on two sides/one corner). I keep those in a box with file tabs to label by category, theme, set, etc.

I have my clear stamps stored in vintage swim locker baskets. They're just the right size.

I store like Jennifer McGuire does and it works great for me. They fit in the drawers from the Michaels white cubes with the 2 drawers on the bottom and the shelf on top.

7 years to get here... So now what?

I posted my method a few weeks ago... I used to keep my stamps in their original packaging and stire them in baskets. But my stamp collection grew quickly and I needed something different. So I bought the CD/DVD folders that Jennifer McGuire uses and now hang them from an Ikea towel rod. I love it (but need to find a spot for another rod!!)
