I recently purchased a bunch of the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss line. I am a little disappointed in the colors. They just look kind of cheap to me - colors are shallow. Hard to explain whatni mean - but it's like they didn't use enough ink say compared to a MME paper. Are all the lines like this??

I have the Vintage Bliss line, and I love the muted colors of this collection. I guess you could say that most of their lines are similar, except for their snap collection which is really bright and vibrant.

What Bonscraps said. To compare, heres the Sn@p line below. I have it and it has nice bright colors

I wonder if you got a bad batch? I have the entire line and feel like the colors are very nice ... similar to all other scrapbooking lines.

Now they don't have the texture of MME papers. Maybe that is the difference you're seeing visually?

I wonder this also. I have almost all the papers from that line and they are beautiful. Or maybe it's a preference thing. Do you prefer brighter colors?

Could it be the lack of texture that you find distasteful?

I do love the texture of MME but I think it's more the color of these. It's hard to describe but it just seems cheap, like they went light on the ink. It's not really the brightness but the depth.

Maybe it's just me. Haha.

I love that line and don't think that at all. It is more muted than most Simple Stories though.

What are you looking at?

I love the muted colors of this line, it's beautiful! I think maybe you got a bad batch, I'm sure you could contact SS about it.

Are the Snap and other series the same color scheme tone wise? I use the snap and totally love the colors so I don't know by comparison since I only ordered those through 2peas site. Interested if anyone has this info.

I just bought it and I think it's lovely. Doesn't few cheap or look cheap at all to me. It is more muted, but that's the idea. I absolutely love the chipboard-my only complaint it that I would love more of it! 12x12 instead of 6x12. This is the first SS I've purchased.

I think I agree with the OP. I got one of tbe kits and when it arrived, I felt the colors weren't saturated enough, and yes, sort of cheap looking. Kind of like tbe printer didn't have enough ink in it? The designs are very pretty however.
