I sometimes do monthly if I have enough random photos from throughout the month. Mostly I just use the divided protectors and journaling cards to simplify the scrapbooking process. I love it and I love how current my family album is.

I did PL last year and also did monthly. I'm doing it this year for a baby album for my son, and doing monthly as well. Just makes more sense to me to do it that way!

This is how I've approached PL since I started. If I had to keep up with every detail and date and try to keep things in order, it would drive me nuts. This way, I can just sort my pics into monthly folders, collect bits and pieces of memorabilia and put it together however it fits. I usually only use 2 spreads for each month and add inserts when we really have a lot going on. I like that it won't take up as much space in the end.

I started out monthly because I knew weekly wouldn't work for me. Plus, I saw something called "Project 12" somewhere (maybe Pinterest). I am really enjoying the monthly approach and the memories I am capturing with this method.
I just wish that they had more products for the monthly PL types; everything seems to be for the weekly. I am considering having my own stamps custom made to use for my monthly format.
