I'm working on a book using Becky's PL protectors and all the photos and cards in the top slots are falling out.
Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a non gluedot, staple, tape fix?

|Posted: 4/26/2013 7:30:11 PM|I had that problem on some WRMK divided protectors and it made me nuts. I had to put so much adhesive on it. One of the reasons I am not inclined to scrap that way very much.

|Posted: 4/26/2013 7:46:29 PM|The only pockets I had trouble with were the really large top pockets on some WRMK pages, and 2 of the tiniest pop dots fixed my issue, and the long skinny vertical pocket on some WRMK. Same fix.
I haven't had any photos fall out.
Then again, I don't use BH sheets. But I didn't have that issue with WRMK sheets, either.
Sorry I'm not much help.

I haven't had that problem but I haven't been doing PL for very long

I have been having some trouble with this too. What I have done is used a clear thread and placed a single stich in the center of those top pockets where this is happening. Helps keep it in when the pages are turned.

Will have to try some of my pages to see what they do...can you cut some cardstock a little larger than the slot and sandwich it in between from and back items to make the whole slot thicker? How are you using the pop dots?
|Posted: 4/26/2013 10:30:00 PM|Yes, I have this problem too. I like to use the decorative paper clips to hold the items in the top pocket.
Also, I use the American Crafts six-pockets (4" x6" which all open from the sides so that problem goes away.
I have also seen people use plain (shiny) clear cellophane tape or some washi tape as decoration as well as functional to keep the photos from falling out.

I've only been noticing this issue recently with Echo Park Photo Freedom and Doodlebug page protectors...

I had a defective package of page protectors once from the Canadian supplier, and she replaced them. The stitching was weak on the top row of pockets.

I have done the extra cardstock too and that seems to work for me. It was driving me nuts too.
|Posted: 4/27/2013 11:36:47 AM|Yes, my friends have told me they staple with Tim Holtz's tiny attacher or stuff the heck out of the pocket with multiple layers (card stock, photos, patterned paper, etc).
Sorry. Sounds like there's no simple fix.

I've only done one PL album and my picture were old so they were too small for the pockets. They all had to be adhered to card stock and none of them have fallen out. I think that might be the trick. Kinda stinks that you have to do it with the 4x6 photos though.

I didn't want to hear that, that's disappointing. I bought the Becky Higgins PL kit from HSN but haven't used it yet.

I only have this issue with the 4x6 vertical pockets that open on the side and the big spots on the WRMK protectors.
I know you didn't want a tape solution, so this may not be helpful to the OP but maybe to someone else. In one of the Studio Calico kits in 2012, maybe August or September, there was a roll of clear tape with white days of the week on it. It's very sticky and because it's mostly clear, is very subtle. So I use this to seal up the pockets having trouble.
