So how many of you are making kits for NSD? Are you making single Page Kits or "Kit Club" kits?

I am! I cant get the hang of making a kit for a single page, I dont have an over abundance of stuff so I would constantly be pulling from other kits to complete the page. Instead I started looking through some recent kit club releases and have decided that I am going to make 2-3 large kits like you would receive from a kit club and push each of them for as many layouts as I can. 1 kit down...2 to go!

What is your Strategy for completing as much as you can?

I am using tonight to make coordinating handmade embellishments that would take too long to make tomorrow...like my handmade enamel dots and embellishment clusters. I am already a slow scrapper so if I start making embellishments tomorrow I will get sidetracked and never get anything done!

Then I am going to go through my photos and pick.out about three times as many as I will actually scrap so that I can be ready for anything!!

Do you have a goal for tomorrow?

My goal is to complete at least 6 layouts and not completely destroy the living room (AKA-My scrap
room for tomorrow) by cleaning up my area and starting freah after each layout.

I have been working on these kits for 4 days now. About an hour a day as soon as I get home from work!

Homemade Enamel Dots
(I figured these out last week and when I went to photograph a tutorial my camera broke )

I had some old paint chips and a couple of sheets of paper.

For the paint chips- punch out your circles with a hole punch or confetti punch, push them down onto a glue dot so that they round themselves out a bit. Place them on a sheet of acetate. Apply Glossy Accents and let cure. The paint chips are on a thicker cardstock so they take the pressure better for bending them around the glue dots. This gives the beat bubble.

For the pattern paper I apply the adhesive to the back of the paper before punching them punch them out and put them on a sheet of acetate. Then apply glossy accents. These come out to be a bit flatter because they are not bent around the glue dots but they give the same effect.

Good luck. Have fun!!

Also thos way is great if you have a very specific color in mind or want a patterned dot but Globecraft has enamel gel that is used for putting enamel on jewelry that will make them I tink they have 11 colors and you just squeeze it out on wax paper and let it cure. They are 5.99 a bottle and each bottle will make about 100 or more (depending on the size) dots.

I am right there with you Ashley. I am doing kits not for single layouts since my stash won't allow for that and it would be a mess looking for things. I think I have about 4 kits total, but one actually will go straight to Shimelle's perfect collection class and if I can work it into a challenge then awesome. I have started prepping Monday and about to get the last little touches ready and a loose schedule put together so I don't forget a challenge or event going on.

This is my first time participating in creating for NSD and I am excited to join in the fun. I put hubby on child watch and got the house semi organized (hubby can handle the rest lol). I wish I could get a little spending money to praise myself with, but my DD's bday is Mother's Day and I have to start planning that.

My goal is to complete 10 layouts using the perfect collection class (might start the prep work for that now), and about 6 or more layouts for challenges. We'll see, but that is my hope. If I don't finish tomorrow I hope to finish the projects by Sunday.

Elizabeth,
Good Luck. I have got 1 more kit done...Its a small one using nothing but older papers. I hope that if I can get the old stuff used up in a way that I enjoy then I will be able to get some new stuff to replace it!! I also bought my first OTT light so I will be able to scrap away into the night..I have a very dim house. Good Luck and heres to you completing 16 pages!!!
