I own a LOT of stuff including electronic die cutting machines, Project Life accouterments and tons of other stuff.

I just need some encouragement to get back into scrapping and using up my stuff and using my cutters and other tech things.

This is a shameless plea for encouragement. I hope you will forgive me.

Is the block that you're overwhelmed? Not feeling creative? My solution would be to watch a video or two....

You've already taken the first step: Acknowledging that you want to scrap!

When I have the desire to scrap, but feel unmotivated or overwhelmed, I just pick a photo that I love and go at it, being as silly, creative or wild as I want. In this day and age of digital pics, it's okay to experiment because you can always have the photo reprinted and do it over again.

I would start with few pictures & then browse the gallery for inspiration. Once you find a LO that you really like just scraplift it. That will get your juices going

When ever I need inspiration or motivation I usually do something for a gift. It is always easier for me to be creative for someone else rather than my self

Happy scrapping

I would check out some free videos here on 2peas, Pinterest, and YouTube for some inspiration.

Definitely watch a few videos. They really inspire me. There are some project life themed ones. Also Tool School is a new class about using your tools. If you are looking for help with using your die cutting machine. I'm thinking about gifting that to myself for Mother's day.

Videos got me back into scrapbooking I hadn't done one since my wedding album 9 years ago!! Now I'm back and feeling very creative and renewed. It's probably all the great new products too, that gets me excited!

How about looking back through your own albums at the pages that you loved doing? Scraplift one of your favorite pages.

I really like the challenges for motivation. Right now I am doing the faux LOAD May 31 challenge here on Two Peas. The daily prompts help me to focus on a goal for that day's layout.

Baby steps..... try one LO using some of those items you have not used. Don't overwhelm yourself with a ton, just pick a few.

Then move on to another, with different tools and supplies.

Glitter Girl has a video that can help you:

When I stopped scrapping for awhile, it was hard to get back into doing it. I found a couple of scrapping buddies, and because we set aside a couple days every month to scrap, it got me going again.

Any chance you can find someone to scrap with you?

Look through your papers and use whatever you find prettiest/most inspiring. Sometimes I feel a lack of mojo because I feel the need to catch up, but if I 'give myself permission' to play with the pretty new stuff, the mojo comes roaring back and pretty soon I'm cranking out all kinds of stuff old and new.

One of favorite piece of advise on getting started came from May Flaum. She suggests the if you are really uninspired you make something ugly. That's right. Make something ugly on purpose. This will free up your creativity. I tried it once and it worked!

BeckyK I say all you have to do is just decide that you are going to create something. Even if it a diecut that you want to use on a page in the future.

I would love to have several diecutting machines (well the silhoutte in general cause I have a cricut) but if I did have one and I had the time and photos I would be do something with it. Even if it isn't scrapbooking. I believe as long as I am doing something with what I have (other than collecting dust) then I am not waisting $$. And that usually is my encouragement to do something. Often times I am working on something for the kids and school and then I start creating something scrapbook/card related.

Do you have friends that craft too? I find I do more when I am with a group. If not, are there crops at a LSS you could go to?

I moved a couple of years ago and just couldn't get into card making so I started a group and it is so much more fun!

Good Luck!

Glitter Girl videos are my go-to, too, when I need a little nudge. Or an episode of Paperclipping Roundtable.

I would pick a gem of a story and get it down on paper. Nothing builds the habit like seeing and enjoying what you've made!

Thank you so much! I was taking my elderly mother to various tests and appts today and just got back on the board. I am taking every suggestion to heart. I really appreciate your suggestions. I think I may watch a video or two and just shamelessly copy it to start.

You all are great!

Or start small. make a few cards... or some pretty tags that could go on gifts etc. for me, the smaller the space to work with, the easier it is. As sometimes, filling a 12x12 layout can be too overwhelming for me.

Have fun!
