|Posted: 5/7/2013 10:20:20 AM|your journaling cards? I don't do project life, but I have quite a few journaling cards and such and just wondering how you store them? In a big basket you hunt through? Keep them in the package? I would love to know what works for you.

Just in baskets. I do project life too so I have the 3X4 and smaller in a couple baskets and 4x6 in a few different baskets. No other rhyme or reason. They aren't divided by theme or anything. Which is strange because the rest of my stuff is. Maybe one day.

Some of them, come in a pack that can be hung from a pegboard. Others I keep standing up in a small box so I can flip through them quickly.

I take them out of the packaging and mix them all up - well I separate by size because the 4x6 is harder for me to use on 8.5 x 11 pages.
Still trying to find a way to keep them close at hand but not take up space on the scrap table. Right now they are just in a pile loose on the table, not even in a container of any kind. Not good - ha!

I keep mine in a file box, separated by size.
When they come as a full sheet of paper (for example, Simple Stories) I keep them with the other items I purchased from the same line until such time as I don't have enough product left to justify keeping them together as a kit. Then, they go into "general circulation" in the file box.

I am not a PLer but love all the cards for LOs. I have an old Cropper Hopper photo storage container. That does not hold true 4x6 photos, if that tells you how old it is. I have finally found a use for it! I have all of my cards in it and the flip side holds 12x12 paper so if I have some that aren't cut apart yet, I can still keep them with my other cards.

Before I started using pocket pages I had cards in my color drawers with my other embellishments. Now they have their own storage area. If you are using them on 12x12 pages then I would treat them like another embellishment. If you are using pocket pages I would prob. Store them on their own (depending how much you have).

I keep mine in a pretty colandar from Target, and I do keep them in their original package. I don't do PL either, but like to use them in my Smash book/Snap books and on layouts. 12 x 12 cards I keep with their matching paper line- I only cut those as I need them.

I keep mine in a photo box. It fits 4x6 or two clusters of 3x4s so it works for me. I do project life though so its easy for me to just take out the box while I'm PLing

I keep most in the boxes they came in. A few pl card along with ones i've accumulated from other places are in a 6x8 snap container from target. It has two layers and, in theory, i could add more layers. But, as is, i can pack cards for a crop/project life outing at the park with room for an ink pad, my fav pl stamps, scissors and a corner rounder. Its ok....

Some if mine are in a start in my card catalog. The rest are in an Antonis thing from ikea I'm my Raskog cart.
I don't like that they don't really for well on the Antonis thing so ordering a medium close to my heart container or two to put in the Raskog cart

I store mine in a 5" high Cropper Hopper expanding file by theme. For the ones with no theme, I have them as either darks or lights based on the designs (vs. the background).

Mine are just in a box because I find rifling through it helps me to remember what I have so might realise when doing another layout that i have something in the box that will be just right. I recently cut apart loads of 12x12 sheets of journalling cards too (the kind that come with collection kits) and added them to the box.
