I am making a little Disney book for my granddaughter and almost done. Am going to laminate the pages, then bind them with the Cinch. I did a couple sample punches, and the metal punches are leaving a black residue all around the holes! Tried putting several sheets through, one at a time to see if it would stop doing that, but it still is! Tried a laminated set of pages, and the black stuff smears on the lamination! Ugh, so upset, just wanted to finish this and have it turn out really nice. Anybody had this problem or know what to do? Should I call WRMM and ask them? (too late today) So disgusted, was looking forward to the fun of binding the book together!!

Found the answer on their web site. Says to put several layers of paper towel together and punch through it..if still residue, then punch paper towels again and lock the handle down and leave it so it absorbs all the oil. Oil put there when they make it to make the mechanism work I guess.
