Most of the papers are absolutely beautiful in this collection and I really do adore Crate Paper! But I just got a 2 Peas order today with this paper in it. I'm really a bit disappointed in 3 of the papers:

Surf Shop
Frozen Treats

These papers are beautiful on the website, but they are way different in person because they are Kraft papers. Nowhere in the description does it say kraft, so these are way darker than the site shows. They are still...okay, but just not what I was expecting.

Just wanted to give a heads up for people that are looking at these!!

Good to know, though I already ordered. I figured Surf Shop was kraft but the other two I had no idea. I'll wait to see mine, but I really thought (and was wanting) the B side of Shoreline to be a pale pink like the picture.

Yeah, I figured Surf Shop was kind of kraft, but instead of kraft and more white, it's like...kraft and darker kraft. I suppose with some white paint and water I could probably make that one look like it does in the shop

I don't think I can link without violating he TOU, but if you do a search for "crate the pier" on youtube you'll find a clip that shows the papers. And yes, they're way, way darker...

I noticed after I ordered mine as well, but I'm thinking maybe the paper layers and embellies will pop off the page nicely with these darker sheets as backgrounds. In any case it is rather annoying that there is such a difference between online images and the actual product though.

Funny how we interpret these things differently. I hadn't seen those papers online...ran across them in my LSS, and bought 2 of each because for backgrounds they are subtle and versatile! If I had seen the online image first, I too would have been "disappointed" because they are very different.

Because of Shimelle, I more often buy pps as backgrounds based on versatility and subtle pattern now.

I think it will be fine too once I incorporate it in as well, but I feel like it needs to say "kraft" in the description...that would put up a flag to me that they would be darker than shown

Other on-line stores are putting the word Kraft in their product descriptions. Too bad 2Peas didn't.

Thank you for the heads up - much appreciated!!

Just watched the video. WOW! I almost bought "Frozen Treats" (the popsicle one), but deleted it at the last minute. So glad I did!! I did get 2 other papers, but they look okay. I was worried about the bright multi colored chevron paper. It looks good on the video. 2Peas definitely should put some kind of note on some of these papers.

I just ordered the 6x6 pad yesterday. Thanks for the heads up! My dd's all have Smash books, so if I don't like them I'll just pass them on to them.

Wow. Thanks for the heads-up. I have been really, really close to ordering this line as my ONLY summer line (trying to cut way back on the buying). I was really looking forward to the Frozen Treats paper, too.

Have you considered writing a review on the product page to help people who might miss this thread?

Thanks for the heads up.

I was in love with this line from the very first sneak peek. I bought several of the papers individually (including the 3 mentioned above) and the collection pad. In my opinion the Kraft ones seem much lighter in the pad than the individual sheets--which I am happy about! Just thought I would share that if anyone was considering buying this collection.

I just received my order with the Pier collection today, and was happily surprised that there were several kraft papers, since I use it frequently in my layouts or as background cardstock. But I agree that the description should specifically state that some of the patterns are on kraft paper. Sorry some of you are disappointed

I really like how the Kraft works with the other papers. The embellies are super cute! I used the chipboard frames on a LO this week.

ITA! I thought Frozen Treats was going to be bright and it's so dull. SO not what I thought I was getting

On the other hand, I also got SC Atlantic and this is much nicer than I thought it would be!

Please ...all you peas that have purchased this ... write a review under each product so that it will help all of us to know what we are buying. I too, wish that the discriptions were better here at 2 peas . I always write a review if the colors are not the same in person as in the picture. Thanks

Wow thanks for the heads up. I had my cart full of some of these pouts including the 12x12 paper pack. I just watched the video on you tube...I would have been very disappointed. I thought the colors were much more vibrant on the two peas site.

Check out the Paper Pad--I just compared my individual papers to the pad again, and I really prefer the pad this time. I especilly love the white chevron on the tan (in the pad this design is not on actual Kraft, but rather a tan so is much lighter).

The first one I can totally see being kraft, but the other don't show any signs of it. Hmmm, so very sorry!

I felt the same way. I knew it was kraft but there are different versions, some quite light, this is very dark. It makes the papers looks completely different. Very disappointing.

I got the 6x6 pad today & the only paper that looks like Kraft at all is the chevon. And that ones just Kraft colored, not actual Kraft paper.

I wish I had known that the papers in the pad were lighter and not printed on actual kraft...I would have went that route instead. Normally I love all things kraft, but these papers are just WAY darker/dull than the rest of the collection. Maybe some peas will start posting creations in the gallery soon and make me change my mind!

The only embellishment that I got was the ephemera pack and it's wonderful!!

I did go back and leave reviews for these particular papers so hopefully others will know before they buy!

Aww, I did order those

I seriously love kraft paper, but I can get it cheap nearby so I don't buy it from TwoPeas... I pick out the things I can't get anywhere when I shop here...

Thanks for the heads up, and thanks to all the Peas who do post reviews on products... Any Peas that can't look at and feel the different products - no stores near us, etc, love hearing what you all say about them
