LOL....I guess that is why I never get anything done. I installed a smart tv and family computer in our shared space...oops.
Either way it goes at least I am going something that I want to do? That's my justification for watching tv for the hour that I had devoted to scrapbooking.Plus that is the only time I would actually get to watch tv.

I do however get more done if I have something mindless on TV (reruns of a favourite show) or music.
If I don't have anything to occupy that part of my brain, I get antsy and start wandering away from my desk!

SO TRUE!!! I will play music on my laptop, but that's all. Too much wasted time-- even on shows/ movies I have seen numerous times before.

I wouldn't get anything done either, lol. But if I have some music in the background, ideas seem to come to me easier for some reason. Kinda like painting a room. It is much more enjoyable when there's some music going on. Even when I get together with friends to scrap (there are about six of us who scrap once a month), there is always music on the radio or tv.

For me it's the computer, the TV doesn't seem to distract me unless it's an intense seen in a drama.
Worst part about the computer is it's usually a card game, not the internet. Since we're on dial-up, I only get on the internet at home when absolutely necessary. Luckily I can get on at work from time-to-time.

I have to have something on TV just as background noise. I try to not watch things that I haven't seen before so my attention will still be on what I'm doing. My go to movies are usually Jane Austen adaptations. I'll still glance up whenever I know a favorite scene is coming up but for the most part, it won't require my undivided attention.

Really, I get a lot more done IF I have the TV on. But then, I'm usually watching old TV shows that I grew up with and love the fact that if I miss something or walk out of the room, I just back up to what I missed. I've been collecting seasons of everything I loved.

I think I have adult ADHD. I get so distracted and then I'm off onto another task. And Lord help me if I have laundry or other household chores to distract me. Add something even remotely interesting on tv and I will rewind the DVR 15 times to listen to what I missed if I'm trying to multi task.
Once Upon A Time requires my full, undivided attention. Even if I have to pause it and come back to it after my dd is quiet again.
