I've just starting taking pictures with my new phone and need some great editing apps. Which are your favorites?

I have Snapseed but am still trying to figure it out!

what else do I need?!

I've been using PicTapGo by RadLab. It was '$1.99. It's easy to use. And it does seem to make my iPhone photos look better. I think it may be an iPhone only app.

I love snapseed, it was the first app I found too. You need to get instagram.

Camera plus is a great camera app for just taking pics. There are some editing features on it also, most people love 'clarify' on it.

PicTapGo is another I would definitely get.

Depending on how much editing you want to do, did you want textures or anything? Wood camera is pretty good, blux camera is interesting and fun

Hipstamatic is ok for retro looks, but there are in-app purchases with it. You don't have to get them, but I ended up buying a couple. They also have freebies come up at times I believe (not sure how often because I just got it myself recently)

Wow Helen, your Instagram pics are gorgeous. I'll take one of everything you use! Of course the photographer matters too!

Thanks Madeline!!

Most of the apps can be sent to instagram, which is a feature I love. I mostly use camera plus to take the pic, then pictapgo and/or snapseed to edit. Some of the beach pics were taken with hipstamatic. Any other features I want I usually play around with wood camera, distressedfx or Laminar.

ETA: I also have halftone, and percolator which are fun

I saw that! At first, I didn't think I'd have any use for it until I saw someone else use it. hahaha.

Oh and the collage apps-great idea! Thanks.

Colorsplash, autostitch for merging photos eg to make a long horizon etc but my favourites are Phoster for making them look like ad posters or magazine covers and Halftone for the newspaper-cartoony look

Afterlight is my go to app, hands down!!
love the cropping features, tons of filters with the ability to adjust as well as simple editing features--brightness, contrast, exposure, etc.
Also there are nice frames, shaped and regular.
I just love it for the versatility & ability to adjust everything,

I like Aviary. It's very basic, but fast and easy. Magic Hour is also good if you love to play with filters. I have an android phone.
