I'm not a card maker by any stretch, but I'd like to make a card for a very kind lady who works at my daughter's school. I just heard she is recovering from a surgery in which she donated a kidney to a family member. She is a great woman and hearing this, my respect and admiration for her has increased tenfold!

Now my question is this, what is the proper sentiment for such a card? Get well? Thinking of you? Something else?

Thanks for your help, Peas!

I have a stamp fron Unity that came to mind: "you are amazing"!

Another idea would be to embellish the card front but don't add a sentiment-just use your handwritten message on the inside.

Well, it depends. Are you making the card to wish her a quick recovery? Or are you making a card to tell her that you admire her for what she did and the kind of person that she is. If its both, which is the most important reason? Once you have it figured out, go with that sentiment.

XOXO

My daughter donated a kidney to my lifelong friend 10 years ago and her recovery was longer than the recipients. That is very common ,so you could say "feel better soon", "speedy recovery", "Get better soon", or even "Happy Healing. My daughter got so many cards thanking her for saving a life. I think your card sentiment will depend on how well you know her. Or you can make a nice front for the card and just write a note inside with your message.

Thank you so much! All great ideas! I think I know what I'm going to do. I'll keep it simple with a decorated front and just a note inside with my message.

She's someone who works in my daughter's school and she is just so helpful and kind. I don't know a lot about her personal life, but whenever I had a question or needed help with PTA things, she always gave her time to help me.

jerseygirlanne - Your daughter is quite amazing! Thanks for sharing that story.

Thanks Peas!
