I have to go to Scottsdale soon. Are there any stores left in the area? Thanks!

I just made the drive down to Scrap etc in Mesa. (I'm about 20 min. N. of Scottsdale) There is a Paper Source store in the Scottsdale Quarter, they have some scrapbooking/stamp supplies. All of our cute little scrap shops have slowly disappeared.

I've heard of Scrapbooks, Etc in Mesa but haven't been there as I live on the other side of the valley.

They turned half of the store into a fabric shop (you can pick up some gorgeous fabrics in fat quarters to use for scrapbooking!) They keep the store well stocked with new embellishments and there's a great paper section from almost every manufacturer out there. I go about once a year or so, it's about an hour drive for me but worth it!

Etc is an awesome store. I live about 20 minutes from it and try to go up every once in awhile. They keep the store really well stoked and cover most of the major manufacturers quite well.

I was at Scrapbooks Etc. in Mesa years ago on a trip to Phoenix and it was the BEST scrapbook store I had ever been in!! Glad to hear it's still around.

Does anyone remember Memory Lane? It closed up awhile ago but I LOVED that store. It was the first "real" scrapbook store I was ever in. I am sad to hear many of the other scrapbook stores in the Phoenix area have closed.

Ooh AHhhhh fabric! I'll definitely visit Etc. I just found out I've got a free morning, is there a good lunch place or other store nearby? Peas make the best travel guides!

Scrapbook Barn at Val Vista and Guadalupe is also very nice with better scrap classes. Scrapbooks Etc. is now just Etc. to reflect how much sewing is part of their store. Etc. has some great sewing classes but seems to have cut back big time on new ideas regarding paper.
A very fun restaurant north of Etc. is Rancho Tia Rosa. Otherwise, the restaurants around Etc. are lame. I use to scrap there every week and we would have to drive too far for lunch.
Memory Lane site remained empty for years in the strip mall and is now a church. The strip mall it was in has been struggling for years.
