Mitchell Kraft was in the final infamous Creating Keepsakes HOF. He was part of the whole scandal.

The big scandal was, in part, people were using photographs that they did not take. This was against the contest rules. One of his photos was a photo of him getting on a horse. Awfully hard to take that photo yourself.

I think it was a dumb rule. I don't care who takes the photos, just how they are scrapped. But the whole thing turned into quite a fiasco.

There were also allegations that the contest winners were pre-picked and that it wasn't really a contest. I don't know what went down with that.

Google the HOF scandal. It was crazy. I don't think CK has ever recovered.

I don't have an opinion about him either way. His scrapbook pages are fine but they don't know me out, either.

There are a couple of other male scrapbookers.

Tracy... weren't there several HOF scandals? I thought I remember a scandal of at least one female scrapper not taking her own photos.

I don't care who takes the photos either. If they have someone to take awesome pictures for them, more power to them. I wish I had someone too.

There were a few people that year that didn't take their photos. And that's when the poop hit the fan. One person told CK they didn't take all the photos. But was allegedly told it was ok. (Edit: that photo was even credited in the special issue. Making a lot of the people that submitted angry because the rules weren't followed)

One person had a story to go with the white water rafting photos that they were in. And the Mitchell's horse photo. It was a mess.

I didn't care who took the photos. But it was in the rules. It was a stupid rule and CK paid the price for it.

Many years ago, on another board there was a male scrapper. He wanted to make a scrapbook of his dating life with his girlfriend. On Valentine's Day, he gave it to her. The last page contained an engagement ring. He did beautiful work and would ask our opinion but he really did not need our help. Btw, She said yes

I remember the HOF scandal. For me scrapbooking is about how you display the photos not who takes them. He does have some nice layouts tough. I am happy to know there are a few male scrappers.

He does wonderful work.

"A rule is a rule" so I agree there, but how silly to think that you can only scrapbook your own photos. Yes almost 100% of my photos are taken by me, but it's nice to have pictures of myself now and then that aren't "long arm" style shots.

I have to say that it's refreshing to see cool "professional" scrap pages outside the norm of typical families with children. Like the beer by the pool layout. Thanks for sharing the link.

There are many male scrappers- here are a few I can think of off the top of my head.

Drew Scott

Frank Garcia - Prima educator and Paper Haus magazine

Alberto Juarez - Graphic 45 Design Team

The Gentleman Crafter

Mitchell Kraft - as mentioned
