I'm having a super hard time doing a wedding album.

I have a professionally made 12x12 album with about 40 our favorite photos. However, I want to do a scrapbook because grandmas, and details weren't all able to fit into our professional album.

So I printed off about 400 photos. Yay. Well I'm looking for ideas in the gallery, and many of them are single photo layouts. I'm looking for an idea book, or gallery that has multiple layouts with the same style.

Can anyone help me?

I don't have anything in the gallery but did a wedding album for a friend and used a lot of ideas from shimelle's 4x6 photo love class that she did here last year. Lots of great ideas for multi photos on two page layouts.

I did some accordion type photos on the layouts and just cut the page protector. I also did a couple of pocket pages like I found in shimelle's 4x6 class.

Here is a link to the class. It is free and full of good ideas. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/classes_and_events/classes/22-4x6-photo-love-with-shimelle-laine/

Have you considered using a PL approach? They have so many different pocket pages that it might be easier to use that type of layout vs traditional 12x12. I know everyone isn't into PL but I would consider it for you project.

I am doing a mini PL album for my sisters wedding using the mini PL kit and a scrapbook kit that I found at M's that has the same colors and works well with BH PL mini kit. Doing it in that style can give you a lot of room when for journaling. The bigger album will hold a lot of pages. You can also mix in regular scrapbook 12x12 pages wherever you decide to. If you watch the PL videos on HERE you can see just how beautiful the pages can be and how easily you can put that album together.

When my son got married I made a wedding album for him and his new wife, one for myself and one for my DIL's mother. Their wedding colors were black and red. I only used black, red and white papers and embellishments for the albums. Many different styles of paper but only those three colors. They all looked very classic. Something to think about......

Glitter Girl did some episodes recently on just this topic. She did a video where she chose supplies and then spent four weeks doing pages for the album using the supplies. You should check those videos out as she gives some great tips on how to incorporate formal and reportage photos.

Shimelle also did some pages for the same album in her sketch to scrapbook series recently.

Thank you all for your replies. I need some serious ideas to handle this task. I think I will do some project life style layouts, but mount the photos on pretty paper. I will be checking out everything you all have suggested.

When I scrapped my wedding pictures, I used the Scrapbook Generations sketch books for the multi-photo layouts. It made the process much simpler!

I went to Joann's last night and picked up some shimmer paper, in black, white, and purple. I also got a stack with black, white and pink patterns. I think using just those colors will make it a lot easier. Thanks vmr!
